Bleach Episode 1
Pretty much the same as the manga (ok almost exactly): Ichigo can see ghosts, his family runs a pediatric clinic and his sisters can see ghosts as well. His dad is the only person that can't, and I believe that their mom is dead. Anyways, Ichigo is trying to save a young girl ghost from some kind of monster (a hollow, or evil spirit) and that night a shinigami (god of death) named Rukia appears in his room, shocked that he can see her. Then a hollow attacks the house and is about to devour one of Ichigo's little sisters, Karin. In order to save Karin, Ichigo must become a shinigami as well by stabbing himself through the heart with Rukia's sword. Ichigo becomes a shinigami with extremely strong powers and defeats the hollow. The End.
This episode was pretty exciting, despite me having already read the beginning of the manga. It had some pretty cute and humorous scenes and I think the animation, although some of the characters are pretty ugly (*cough*ichigo*couch*), really worked for this show. Ichigo's sisters are adorable, and from the many screen caps I have of her you can tell I really like Rukia =). I liked the opening animation, but I'm not a big fan of the song. The ending song, "Life is a Boat" by Rie Fu, is very pretty but I don't know if it really fits this show very well. Anyways, overall I liked the ep so I will keep watching (just like every other series I've watched so far this season...).
