Well, looks like I'm retiring for now... not that anyone still looks here, lol.

I'm concentrating on school and work right now and catching anime now and again, but not consistantly enough to keep up the site.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! My birthday is today too, so that's cool I guess =B Hope you guys got what you wanted. I didn't get tooooo much, cause I got mostly practical stuff, but here's what I got:

Yah, my boyfriend and I both got PSPs. They're really cool! I'm playing Legend of Heroes right now, which is a pretty basic RPG, but I like it.

I also finally started playing "We Love Katamari" (I've had it since it came out months ago). Ahhh, it's so nice to play Katamari again...

Anyways, as for the blog... hopefully my anime watching will resume fairly soon, once I get bored of some of the other stuff a little more. I'm not sure if there are any good series coming out in January, but I'll look into that eventually.

Full Metal Panic: TSR Episode 13 & Series mini-Review

Sousuke seems to have pretty much given up after being told that Chidori's dead. However a few minutes later she shows up out of nowhere, scolding him of course as usual and proceeds to kick his ass. He's so in shock that she's alive and there that he doesn't really know what to do. However, this gives him the push he needed to go help his friends who are in dire need of it. Gates finishes off Yu-Fan (after playing around with her dead sister like a doll for awhile), and is about to wipe out Sousuke's friends, but he shows up in the nick of time (Lambda Driver working and all), and quickly beats all 5 venoms including Gates'.

Pretty much everything gets wrapped up after that, with Sousuke talking "crudely" to Tessa and making up with her, and him being reassigned to watch Chidori (taking a huge cut in salary). At the end, they still have not confessed their feelings to each other, but it's very apparent that it should happen fairly soon...

I was quite happy that the ending turned out well for everyone. After the end of episode 6 and all the way through episode 12, the series had taken a very serious and dark turn and while it was enjoyable in a way, watching it was pretty painful I must say. The story itself was very good, but seeing the characters in the situations they were placed in was somewhat torturous. However, this did allow us to see a side of Sousuke that we hadn't really seen before, mostly because he was acting human for once, all because of how strongly he cared for Chidori and her safety. We also saw that Chidori can be quite capable of taking care of herself in certain situations and even though she would prefer Sousuke to be there to watch over her, she obviously learned a lot from him.

Paradise Kiss Episode 2

Yukari is given 3 days to decide if she wants to be the model for Paradise Kiss and she seriously begins to consider it. She "coincidentally" runs into George at the library where she's trying to study and ends up having a little picnic with him afterwards. She tells him some of her problems with not knowing what to do with her life, and is surprised that he actually is listening to her.

The next day she decides to stop by Atelier (their hangout place) to say hi, and walks in on Miwako and Arashi about to get busy on the pool table. She and Miwako end up going to get some tea and Miwako reveals she saw the picture of Hiro in Yukari's student book. She and Arashi were childhood friends with Hiro, but they haven't seen each other for a long time. Yukari notices Miwako looks a little sad when talking about him and cheers her up by agreeing to be their model.

The next day they have a little party at Atelier and Yukari gets a little drunk on the champagne (since she thought it was non-alcoholic...) and ends up missing her cram-school. George takes her home and leans in as if to kiss her, but was apparently about to wipe the lipstick off her lips with a handkerchief. In any case, Yukari is quite flustered by the whole thing...

Well, this episode was definetly more interesting story-wise though I must say the animation was a little lacking at times. I was actually happy about the fact that the SD was used a little less and was a bit less obtrusive than in the last episode. Because I was watching the raw again, I kinda followed along with my trusty ParaKisu manga and everything was pretty much exactly like the manga, which I figure will be the case throughout the series.

Noein Episode 1

I think I'm going to wait til a better sub comes out before I write up a summary and all that, since I didn't really get a grasp of what exactly was going on.... or is that the point? =)

Anyways, this show was pretty impressive to be, however it had been hyped up by everyone else who had seen it so far, so of course it wasn't quite as mind-blowing as I had "expected". I did like it though, so I will continue watching it and possibly blogging it (unless 10 million other people are blogging it, which may very well be the case). The characters seem very likeable and there may be a really interesting story behind everything. And the animation/special effects? very nice, though the character design and the sketchy look to everything may take some getting used to for some.

Paradise Kiss Episode 1

Paradise Kiss is about a girl named Yukari who is a bit of the stuck-up studious type who gets in the mix with a bunch of free-spirited fashion design students and begins a life-changing journey of self discovery... yada yada yada. I've read the short 5 volume series twice, so I'm pretty familiar with the story so I was able to watch this raw without too much difficulty.

To put it short and simple, the fashion students, George (the leader and bisexual playboy), Isabella (the crossdressing "mom" of the group), Miwako (loli-ish cutie pie), and Arashi (Miwako's boyfriend and punk-type guy), need a model for their upcoming fashion show at school. Arashi spots Yukari and thinks she's perfect for the part and she ends up at their hang-out, she refuses to be their model flat out, but she forgets her student book there.

George brings it to her the next day and he agrees that she is perfect to be their model... He takes her to his school to get a makeover and then back to the hangout to show her off to the others. After she tries on some of their self-made clothes she starts to see their side of things a little bit...

I am actually quite happy with how this show turned out. It may not really be a replacement for Hachikuro, but I think it will definetly be enjoyable.

The first thing that hit me was that I really like the opening theme... a lot. It's very fitting for the show and the animation that goes with it is a good start to each episode. The music throughout is also quite good and unobtrusive. I also think using "Do You Want To?" by Franz Ferdinand was a perfect choice for the closing song, but I'm not a huge fan of the animation that goes with it.

The animation is quite good throughout the episode and I don't really have any issues with the character design (even tho Arashi is quite ugly in the show). I wasn't a fan of the SD however as it did not really seem necessary or look quite right mixed in the the usual design. I will probably get over this minor detail though.

The story was pretty much to a T exactly like the manga, so that makes me happy. I am a big fan of the manga and if the story stays pretty much true to it, I will have no problem at all.

Overall, I plan to continue watching and blogging... Someone sub this soon!

Sorry no posts for awhile... I've not really been keeping up with my shows and just haven't had the time. Be assured that once the October season starts, I will definetly be blogging more. I will most likely be blogging Paradise Kiss and probably a couple others (maybe Jigoku Shoujo and Karin, oh and Rozen Maiden ~traumend~ of course!). Nanoha and Mai-Otome are maybes since they will probably be covered elsewhere. Depending which shows I like and also look good will determine what I end up blogging, but there are plenty that look good this season so never fear! As for now, the waiting game shall continue...

Full Metal Panic: TSR Episode 6

Wow, this was an awesome episode, so awesome I decided to watch it again so I could cap it and share the awesomeness with all of you. The main thing that happens in the episode... Sousuke gets a haircut... from Chidori. Seriously, it's better than it sounds. Oh and Gates has reached a new level of insanity as well. Ok anways, I liked this ep a lot, as you can probably tell. =)

Honey & Clover Episode 19

Takemoto's finds himself actually happy Morita's back. Hagu seems to have mixed reactions... Ayu attempts to make Mayama jealous by clinging to Nomiya, but finds herself having an emotional breakdown over Mayama and spending some quality time with Nomiya. Mayama decides Nomiya may not be such a bad guy after all.

The animation was kinda weird in this episode... was it just me? It seemed kinda low quality in the beginning, but there were some really pretty shots as well. Ayu's design was all over the place too... which was slightly annoying. The whole episode had kind of a dreamlike feeling to it... or is it just because I'm sleepy? Strange ep... but still quite good.

Suzuka Episode 6

Well with an episode title like "Kokuhaku" (confession), what do you think's gonna happen? =)

Anyways, Yamato struggles with wanting to ask Suzuka out on their day off from school. He ends up getting tickets to an amusement park, but they get destroyed... Turns out Suzuka has the same tickets and he indirectly invites himself to go with her. She seems pretty excited about going (in her own way), so Yamato looks forward to their day together.

The next day is pouring down rain, but Yamato and Suzuka find some indoor rides to go on and seem to have a pretty good time. At the end of the day it stops raining and they go to watch the parade and Suzuka grabs his hand and keeps holding on to it throughout the parade... He struggles with his feelings of wanting things to continue to be friendly and happy between them and his inward desire to have more. He ends up confessing, which at first she thinks is a joke, but Yamato confirms that he really feels that way about her. Suzuka has an obvious inward struggle, but ends up rejecting him in the nicest way possible and apologizing.

They walk home in awkward silence and go back to their rooms, Yamato finding Yasunobu in his apparently unlocked apartment. Yamato lays down, and complains about his day, but his friend leaves before he gets to the bad part and throws him some tissues. Meanwhile, Suzuka sits in her dark room in front of the tv cuddling her stuffed frog. Yamato finds himself sobbing uncontrollably and wondering why...

Interesting that Yamato confessed to Suzuka so quickly, but he definetly has been having an inward struggle ever since he first realized he liked her so it was inevitable. I suppose the rest of the show will be Suzuka's struggle with her feelings and coming to terms with her past and stuff like that. Should be interesting... =)

Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo Episode 5

Meanwhile, Sayaka decides she wants to be more grown-up and transforms herself into an older girl and hangs out with Tatsumi for awhile (not revealing who she really is). Ureshiko doesn't do much in this episode...

Yaaahhh... that's pretty much it. Not really much happened in this one and it was a little slower paced than other episodes. Sayaka was pretty cute as a teenager and actually acted a lot more mature for once as well. More Ureshiko next time please!

Ureshiko catches Tatsumi reading one of her husband's books which causes her to make a visit to his house. She isn't greeted by him but starts to straighten up the mess. He finally asks if she's back (for good I suppose) and he pins her against the wall and tries to kiss her, which of course she doesn't allow. He orders her to leave, and she does and goes to the cafe to mope with her friend and her friend's daughter, who cheers her up a little bit.

Meanwhile, Sayaka is quite bored and decides to make an amusement park so she'll have something to do. Ureshiko shows up and attempts to stop her, but she's obviously not in the right frame of mind to fight at the moment, but eventually uses a spell to make all the rides and stuff go away. Sayaka leaves in a huff and Tatsumi appears and gives Ureshiko a comforting shoulder.

This was definetly the most serious of the episodes so far. It focused mostly on Ureshiko's relationship (or lack thereof) with her husband and how hard it must have been for both of them with her not being able to kiss anyone. This leads me to believe that he didn't know she was a magical girl and therefore would not know the reason why she couldn't kiss him (or maybe he did?).

I do kind of wonder why it was such a big deal that Kruje/Sayaka wanted to make an amusement park, but I guess Ureshiko just wants everything to remain unchanged... Speaking of, there was a scene with Chibi-Ureshiko and her mother talking (tho they didn't show mom's face), which was quite adorable.

The whole latter part of the episode looked really good with all the rain and stuff and definetly added to the somber mood that set the tone for this episode. I want mooooore!

Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo Episode 3

Not much really happens storywise, plus I watched this over a week ago, so this will be a quick one. =)

Another magical girl shows up to try and claim Ureshiko's ring, and she has an umbrella! (scary...) Of course Ureshiko proceeds to show her why she is the Manager and the girl flees. Meanwhile, Tatsumi and his coworkers revisit Ureshiko's husband to suck up a little so he'll work with them.

Yaaaahhh, that's pretty much it. Nonetheless it was still a pretty good episode, though not as good as some of the others. I will probably cap ep 2 eventually, but don't hold your breath!

Suzuka Episode 5

Yamato wonders what Suzuka's actions on the rainy day meant, and catches her talking to a guy in the hall and making plans for after school. He gets angry and invites Yasunobu who invites Honoka to go Karaoke. Yamato runs away in the middle of it, while Yasunobu makes Honoka stay and listen to him, and goes off to find Suzuka. He catches Suzuka talking to the guy outside their apartment building and it turns out the guy just wanted to ask Yamato to join the track team. He refuses, saying he really isn't any good and that his 50 m dash was a fluke or something.

Yamato ponders what it's like to actually date someone and contemplates whether or not Suzuka really likes him or not. That night there's a blackout in their building and Suzuka comes over with a candle and seems quite scared of the thunderstorm. Yamato starts to ask about why she grabbed him in the rain that day, and she claims she was just avoiding the car. She and Yamato end up talking about their pasts and where they're from and stuff, and Suzuka clings to him when there is a loud outburst of thunder and lightening. The next day at school Yamato contemplates confessing to Suzuka, but ends up realizing he's happy with the way things are now, and doesn't want to ruin what he has with her.

Another good episode, but the constantly changing animation style is starting to bother me lately. While the show usually looks pretty good, some shots seem to look a little weird and it's almost like they can't figure out exactly how they want the characters to look. Pretty much all the close-ups are okay, but everything else looks weird sometimes. Ahh well, maybe I'll get used to it?

It seems like things may be at a standstill for awhile with Yamato and Suzuka's relationship since neither of them seem like their going to let the other know they like them any time soon. I'm fine with this as long as they develop some other aspects of the show and some of the other characters.

Suzuka Episode 4

It's PE test day and Yamato is pretty psyched since he did really well in middle school with PE tests (except for one event...). However his attempt to impress Suzuka falls short as he pretty much only has average results with most things. He does however do really well at the 50 meter dash even though he had avoided it like the plague for a long time. This noticeably impresses Suzuka who is reminded of that mysterious guy in "the picture".

Suzuka seems to act a little strangely towards Yamato the rest of the day and the next day, staring at him and not really saying much. Yasunobu convinces Yamato that it's because she likes him, but he's not convinced. It's raining when Yamato leaves school and is about to ask Suzuka to share her umbrella with him, but she has to stay for weight training. He ends up waiting for her and she offers her umbrella, much to his surprise.

As they are walking home, they are splashed by a car and Suzuka grabs onto Yamato as it passes... She doesn't let go for awhile and then realizes what she's doing and walks away silently in the pouring rain while Yamato stares after her.

This was probably my favorite episode so far, mostly because of the last few minutes. The moment was really well done and actually made you feel the intensity of the situation. It's pretty obvious now that Suzuka has feelings for Yamato, but is hesitant because of the guy she obviously has a crush on from before. It's also not really in her personality to directly confront her feelings so I guess we'll just have to see how things develop from here. Plus it's waaaay too early in the series to come to any kind of resolution. =)

Peach Girl Episode 24

After Momo chooses Touji over Kairi, Kairi proceeds to knock Touji over and kidnap Momo! He takes her off to tell her that he really does love her more than Misao, but she doesn't believe him.

Touji suggests that they go on a trip together and Momo is excited. Sae finds out what happened with Kairi and tries to cheer him up in her usual Sae way and says he needs to keep trying to win Momo back.

Of course Sae takes it on herself to tell Momo what happened with Kairi during the typhoon and of course Momo is shocked. She is even furthur shocked when she runs into Misao who explains more of Kairi's feelings to her. At this point she is very confused and not even sure if she can go meet with Touji in her current emotional state.

Touji is waiting at the station for Momo for over an hour while Sae and Kairi spy nearby. He gets up to leave just as Momo is running toward the station freaking out because she's late. When she gets there, she looks around frantically only to see that Touji is gone. Just as she's about to lose hope, Touji appears behind her holding two drinks and says he figured she would be running to meet him and might be thirsty (collective "awww"ing ensues). Momo hence seems pretty satisfied with her choice.

Oh Momo, so naive and confused. Anyways, I hope she doesn't forget all the things Touji did to hurt her as well. I mean he did most of it with good intentions, but still it was pretty stupid. Kairi did give Momo a lot of mixed signals and I understand why she would be uncomfortable with him (plus he can be a little too impulsive sometimes). Sae was more her usual coniving self in this episode, but she still seemed to be trying to help in a way. I kind of wonder why she's more loyal to Kairi as far as trying to help him out, but I figure it's just more interesting for her to try and screw a good thing up between Momo and Touji.

Last episode next time! We'll finally see who Momo ultimately ends up with (if anyone...). Hoooooray! =P

Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo Episode 1

Ureshiko (I love that name...) is a magical girl that's gotten a little old for the magical girl game. Actually, she was always really clumsy and not the brightest star in the sky, but at least she used to fit in her costume. Anyways, she lives at and helps run a boarding house where they are getting a new resident soon. Ureshiko goes out to prepare for the new arrival while the old woman that runs the place (I don't think they're related, but she can use magic as well) finishes cleaning up after Ureshiko made a mess of things by using her magic.

Meanwhile, a young girl named Sayaka has just moved to the town and is attending the school there for the first time, and she seems very unimpressed. A couple of the guys pick on her and a few of the girls desperately try to befriend her, but she decides to liven things up by riding around on a broom and making everything "cute" (so she's obviously a magical girl too... in case you hadn't guessed).

As she's flying around the city making things cute, Ureshiko finds her and changes everything back to normal and confronts Sayaka. Sayaka recognizes Ureshiko as "Agnes Bell" and her predecessor as a magical girl, and claims that she should have the ring that is the main source of Ureshiko's power. She also makes a point of acusing Ureshiko of being to old to be a magical girl and that her outfit doesn't even fit anymore. Ureshiko refuses for now, saying that she wants the town to same the same for awhile since her mom is the one that created it.

Anyways, Sayaka goes back to making things around the town cute when she is almost hit by a truck containing Tatsumi, a former track star in high school and his female manager/friend. Ureshiko saves her in just the nick of time, trapping her in a bubble and is seen briefly by Tatsumi before she quickly flies off. Sayaka is suprised that Ureshiko saved her, but still considers her a rival.

Of course, it turns out that Tatsumi is the new resident that is going to stay at Ureshiko's place and she helps him move in and avoids his comments of them having met before. A few "oops, I fell on you and your breasts" moments ensue and the old lady lets Tatsumi know that Ureshiko is a married woman. She shows him around town and takes him to a lookout point with a beautiful sunset and he asks her about her husband, but she doesn't really seems to want to talk about it. Apparently she hasn't seen him for awhile...

Anyways, back at the house Ureshiko falls on Tatsumi again (wow, she's almost TOO clumsy...) and he looks as if he wants to kiss her, but she tells him that kissing is something she can't do.

Ureshiko is so cute! I know this show is extremely cliche, tactless and silly, but it's quite entertaining as well =). Most of the characters are cute and there seems to be some interesting stuff to come in later episodes. If you like shows about magic and can tolerate some ecchiness, I would definetly recommend it to you. It also appears that some drama will show up later on as well (in reference to Ureshiko and her estranged hubby). Tatsumi's past may also have some drama in it as well, but right now I don't really care for him much as a character yet.

I also enjoy most of the music in the show as well, especially the opening and some of the spell music is cute too. The animation is quite fluid and the character designs are similiar to Melody of Oblivion (considering it's done by the same people...). Also, the transformation sequences alone are enough of a reason to watch the episode. =)

Suzuka Episode 3

It's the first day of school and Yamato ends up in the same class as both Suzuka and Yasunobu. Suzuka asks Yamato to go on an errand with her after school and he accepts. When Yamato arrives in class, a girl he doesn't recognize (Sakurai Honoka)comes up and talks to him saying they've met before. Suzuka walks in while they are chatting and Yasunobu attempts to make her jealous by saying they're probably planning a date for later. Suzuka walks up to Yamato and tells him it's fine if he doesn't help her after school.

However, that evening as Suzuka's leaving after practice she finds Yamato waiting for her outside the gate and having been there for 5 hours. While Suzuka is suprised that he waited, she seems pretty happy about it as well.

The next day Yamato stays home sick from school with a cold (since people always get sick after being outside for awhile in anime). Suzuka denies him getting sick is her fault and heads off to school. Later on, Honoka comes to visit him (with the help of Yasunobu) and she makes him something to eat. Unfortunately, Yasunobu and Saotome (the busty blonde chick) not only come over and eat all the food (with Yamato getting none...) but they also harass and torture him for awhile.

After everyone finally leaves, Yamato screams and yells about how crappy he feels and that he wishes Suzuka had come to see how he was doing. As if she had heard him, Suzuka comes walking in and brings him some lemon and honey drink (sans the honey...) and hard-boiled eggs (cooked in the microwave!!!). Well, it's the thought that counts, right?

I actually enjoyed this episode quite a bit despite the mixed reactions I've read prior to watching it. Honoka seems like a really nice character (if not a little cliched) and reminds me a lot of Kanako from Genshiken, stutters and all. I'm still having trouble relating to Suzuka as a character, but it's clear that she puts up a tough exterior but actually is a nice person underneath it all. I wouldn't say she really has any feelings for Yamato as of yet, but it's clear that she is noticing things about him that discredit her original impressions.

It'll be interesting to see how the characters flesh out as the series progresses.

Other summer 2005 series I'm following (but not blogging):

Kamichu! - seriously adorable and fun. I'd cap this, but I enjoy just being able to sit back and watch it.

Tide Line Blue - I'm kind of suprised with this one as I don't typically like this kind of show. The characters are quite interesting and it seems like the story will get better and better (I hope!). I'd recommend this even if you aren't a big shounen action fan.

Full Metal Panic: TSR - Yayyy! FMP is back, and now with nudity, more violence and twincest! Definetly enjoying it so far. =)

I may blog these once in a while if I feel like it, but don't count on it or anything!

Other series I'm watching:

Zettai Shounen - I like this show... but it's a little slow for me sometimes. I really have to be in the right mood for it.

Honey and Clover - oh man I looooove this show. I really wish I had started capping it, but again it's one I really like to just watch and not worry about blogging. Please, please watch this if you aren't already!

Suzuka Episode 2

Yah, Yah, I didn't blog episode 1... oh well. Go here if you really need a summary.

Yamato's "friend", Yasunobu, shows up causes problems as usual for him. Yasunobu is a big flirt with the ladies and Yamato does his best to discourage him from setting his sights on Suzuka. Suzuka and Yamato are sent to go get supplies for the landlady and bond along the way. Yamato takes her to a shrine to prove to her that the town isn't as bad as she thinks it is.

While Yamato was happy to leave his old town and to have a new start, Suzuka doesn't like the town and wanted to stay at home with her friends, but was pushed into getting into the best school.

After a dinner celebration for Yamato and Suzuka starting school in a couple days, Yasunobu and Yamoto go out to get some supplies for the college girls and run into Suzuka who's jogging. Yasunobu hits on her and offers to take her home, but Yamato grabs her and drags her home with him (which was what Yasunobu intended to happen).

Yamato attemps to take Yasunobu's previous advice about complimenting her, but he chooses to admire her ears, which she takes offense at. However, he makes an off-hand comment about her jumping and how graceful she was and she seems quite pleased to his surprise.

I am enjoying this anime quite a bit. The characters are more believable than many other series and it doesn't focus on constant ecchiness or comedy all the time. I wasn't real fond of Yamato or Suzuka to start out with, but they are definetly growing on me. Even Yasunobu seems to have Yamato's best interests in mind despite appearances. It will be interesting to see where this anime leads.

Episode 22:

Momo is confused about the possibility that Kairi still loves her while she continues to date Touji. At one point Kairi goes over to her house so he can see her, but sees her kissing Touji. When she spots him later, he says that he still has feelings and runs away with tears in his eyes. The next day at school he tells her that he meant he still had feelings for Misao, which further confuses Momo. Touji later takes her on a date back to the amusement park on the ferris wheel and tells her he wants to make a good memory this time.

Meanwhile, on the Ryo/Sae end of things... Sae tricks Ryo into meeting with her, but he brings Misao along. Sae goes off on Misao and says she should just disappear. As Ryo walks away, Sae reveals that she is pregnant with Ryo's baby. Seeing the way Ryo acts with Sae and how he treats her, Misao starts to wonder if she really does like Ryo after all.

Episode 23:

Momo attempts to return Kairi's student book, but he catches her and reveals to her that he still loves her. Of course, Touji walks in while Kairi is embracing her and Kairi begs for Touji to give her back (rather childish, but cute). Touji points out that Momo is not a puppy and says that it's her choice who she wants to be with.

Meanwhile, Ryo and Sae have a nice talk after Ryo gets dumped by Misao. Ryo wants Sae to get an abortion, but Sae refuses, saying she wants to have his baby so they can be a family. Just as Ryo is starting to see her view of things, he is attacked once again and the crap is beat out of him. Sae stupidly jumps into the fray and is kicked in the stomach. She and Ryo are rushed to the hospital and Momo, Touji and Kairi head there as well.

At the hospital, it is revealed that Sae was never pregnant and that her body had simply convinced her that she was because she wanted it to be so. Sae is obviously very upset about this, and it's hard to tell how Ryo feels... Touji confronts Momo about making a choice once again. Kairi runs off to the bathroom (he is extremely nervous about what's going on and gets nauseas) and upon his return Momo reveals that she wants to be with Touji...

Awww.. poor Sae. I'm glad she wasn't attempting to trick Ryo into being with her, but it sure turned out to be almost like that. It'll be interesting to see who Ryo ends up with now, because it seems that Misao still cares for him despite what she says. Ryo seriously needs to stop being beat up so much...

As for Momo and her decision, I'm not really sure what to think. I think it's kind of obvious that Kairi seriously cares for Momo a lot more than she thinks he does, and I'm sure if they sat down and talked about it for awhile she'd realize that. =)

Amae Naideyo! Episode 1

Ikko is a buddhist monk in training and lives with a group of girls who are becoming nuns. Ikko's power is fairly weak compared to the others, except when... he gets excited. We're introduced to the 6 girls, including Chitose who seems to be the victim of having to strip whenever Ikko needs to ummm.. perform?

Ikko is put in charge of chanting for a doll memorial service in which children's dolls are burned and their spirits are released (kind of morbid, huh?). Anyways, one of the dolls is angry and resists, and of course it turns out that Ikko has to have his power "come" out so he can purify it.

Fairly generic harem comedy, but I actually thought it was pretty funny and enjoyable. The characters are also pretty stereotypical, but who knows with just seeing the first episode really? I will probably keep watching this, and if I am impressed with future episodes I will probably continue to cap this as well. Check this one out if you like harem comedies and lots of panty shots!

Peach Girl Episode 21

School's back in session and rumors are flying about Momo and Touji. The truth is revealed about what really happened (sort of), and Momo is no longer badmouthed by the girls. Kairi obviously still has feelings for Momo, but sees her happy with Touji and doesn't want to interfere (or does he?).

Kairi also finds out that Misao and Sae had it out when Misao showed up in Ryo's hospital room and confessed to him. Sae walked in while they were about to kiss and slaps Misao, calling her a pig. In return, Ryo slaps Sae heartlessly and tells her to leave, despite her sobbing. Misao wonders if Ryo is really the guy she thought he was...

Though Kairi had told Momo that he realized Misao was more important to him (obvious lie...), Momo accidently finds a picture of herself in Kairi's student book and wonders what's going on.

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for Sae... which is scaring me considering how much I hated her before. Seems she's finally getting a taste of what it's like to be in love and in pain as well. Seriously, though, Ryo was a jerk to begin with so I really don't know what she was expecting. I also think Misao is too nice to be with him as well and hopefully she'll realize that. The whole thing with Momo, Kairi and Touji? I really don't want to get into that...

Peach Girl Episode 20

While Kairi is waiting for Momo to show up, he runs into Misao who's meeting Ryo in the same place. Ryo appears and some random guy comes and beats him up. Kairi goes with Misao and Ryo to the hospital and Momo sees him get in a cab with Misao. Kairi calls telling her he'll be there as soon as he can (but the idiot doesn't say why he'll be late! grrrr!). Touji shows up and Momo leaves after an hour and heads off to the beach she was supposed to go to with Kairi. After sitting on the beach for awhile, a typhoon comes and she discovers Touji was there all along and had followed her because he was worried about her.

Basically they get stuck at the beach because of a mudslide and they go to stay at the hotel Momo was supposed to stay at with Kairi. Touji ends up staying with her because no other rooms are available, and well... you can probably guess what happens next. Meanwhile, Kairi realizes what an idiot he was by not showing up to meet with Momo and chases after her to the beach. Of course his train gets stuck too and he proceeds to take a cab as far as he can go and then walks the remaining 20 kilometers!!! He arrives just in time to see Momo and Touji together, holding hands and all happy-like. Momo has decided that she can probably be happy with Touji...

Why??? Why can't these people just communicate with each other more! Grrrr! Aaaanyways, this was a somewhat expected turn of events, seeing as how she found out what really happened with Touji. It sucks that Kairi just happened to show up a little late and Momo gave up on him that easily, but I understand why she didn't give him much of a chance considering the circumstances. I really don't want her to get back together with Touji though, he just bothers me for some reason. Hopefully everything will turn out okay... though I'm not really sure how that's possible at this point.

Peach Girl Episode 18 (sorta) & 19

I did take caps from episode 18, but apparently they didn't work (which I didn't discover until after I had watched the whole episode). So anyways, I'll just give you a short summary: Kairi confesses to Misao that he loves her, she says she only sees him as a little brother (since she still has feelings for Ryo, idiot...). Kairi knows he's hurt Momo so he decides to go on a journey on foot to think about everything. Thanks to Sae, the new person hired to work at the convenience store with Momo is none other than Touji!

Ok... now on to episode 19:

Kairi leaves and Momo is sad... Then she finds out the real reason behind Touji dumping her for Sae and starts to wonder if she still has feelings for him. Meanwhile Kairi works at a soba noodle shop and discovers that he really does love Momo and was just idealizing Misao. He contacts Momo and tells her to meet him when summer break is over and they can go on a trip together. Touji tells Momo that if Kairi doesn't meet her, that he still loves her and wants to start over again.

Sae's kind of scaring me with how nice she is all of a sudden. She still can be sneaky, but she obviously is trying to make up for how she acted before. Hopefully her niceness will continue and we won't have to deal with her crap anymore. It seems like the next episode will be a little sad... but I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. I missed you Peach Girl and your dramatics!

Boku wa Imouto ni Koi o Suru OAV

50 minute OAV episode about a guy named Yori who is in love with his twin sister, Iku. I won't really go into detail as this is kind of a one-shot story and that would be kind of pointless.

I already knew the story from the manga, but it was interesting to see it animated. Please don't watch this if incest makes you queasy, cause this is chock full of it. Unlike other shows that deal with incest that I've seen before, like Koi Kaze, this show doesn't really deal too much with the repercussions of it and actually romanticizes it mostly. Anyways, it was an interesting OAV to watch and even though the colors were a little washed out and the characters look a little weird, the animation is quite good. Go ahead and catch this one if you like shoujo stuff and are a little open-minded.

Anime-Expo 2005

Ahh, well I'm finally back from Anaheim and AX2005. I really have to say I had a great time this year, even though I really didn't get anything besides manga (not that that's anything new). The exhibit hall was basically the same as always, nothing real interesting, but still lots of fun stuff to get. I think there was over 35,000 people there this year, so it was reeeaaaally crowded. There were a few really good cosplayers, but nothing that really stuck out to me too much. The worst part of the whole trip was waiting in line for registration (even though we pre-registered) for 4 hours!!! Yes, that's 4 hours of standing/sitting and waiting. It was incredibly disorganized and extremely irritating, but once it was over it was pretty much smooth sailing from there.

Stuff I saw:

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu eps 1-2 - seen them already, but it was fun to watch it with a big group of people (even though the subtitles were off in the 2nd half of the first ep, grrrrr!).

Le Portrait de Petit Cossette eps 1-2 - also seen the first ep before, but I had forgotten how weeeeiird this show is. I will be watching the last ep soon I'm sure.

AX Masquerade - it was pretty good this year, and we didn't wait in line too too long (I brought manga to read this time!), there was some pretty funny skits.

Medieval Times - not at AX, but we went there on the last day. It was pretty awesome and we screamed at the top of our lungs which was great.

Loveless Episode 12: Endless [Final]

Not many questions are answered in this final episode of Loveless. In fact there are even more questions presented if possible.

Ritsuka goes over to Yayoi's house with Yuika and plays a videogame, and notices a series of numbers and letters on Yayoi's game console similiar to the code given to him previously in regards to Seimei. Ritsuka finds out that this is an address to a particular area in an online game that Seimei used to play and Ritsuka goes home and enters the game to see if he can find anything (while his mom goes insane downstairs). He sees a weird angel-like being that doesn't really give him any information. He wakes up to discover that it's snowing outside and everyone he knows is dead or dying, and when he finds Soubi, he appears to be his enemy and starts choking Ritsuka. Some dramatics ensue, we find out all of the deaths and choking were a dreams, and the episode basically ends with Rituska and Soubi embracing.

Okaaaayyy.. so... what the hell? This episode really didn't answer any of the poignant questions in the series, such as: How did Seimei really die? What makes Ritsuka different from who he was 2 years ago? Is Seimei still alive? Where is the true "Loveless" Fighter? Why is Rituska's mom insane? etc... etc...

It would have been a good episode had it not been the last one... so this means there better be a second season coming out (though I've heard rumors that their might be, I'm pretty sure nothing's confirmed though). I suppose this means I need to just read the manga!

Loveless Episode 11: Warless

This episode follows around Kio, Shinonome-sensei and Ritsuka on a day out to a ferris wheel ride and Chinatown. Basically it's just everyone bonding and not much really happens outside of some character development. However, this is a fun episode and a nice change of pace from all the angst and depression from the previous episodes (not that I don't enjoy that kind of stuff, but you need to break it up once in awhile, right?).

Anyways, the next episode looks very... very... well a change from this episode that's for sure. ^_^; I'm pretty sure it's the last episode, so expect it to not be so happy-go-lucky as this one.

Loveless Episode 10: Nameless

Ritsuka is confronted by Yamato after school... who takes him out for coffee! She explains more about the connection of names and how both the sacrifice and fighter have their name somewhere on their body. However, it appears that her zero symbol is disappearing after the fight with the other zero group. Apparently, she and Kouya had temporarily broken their bond and did a sacrifice switch. Therefore, when Natsume had attacked, he had made a lethal blow to Youji (messed up, huh?).

Ritsuka and Soubi finally have their fight with Kouya and Yamato and Soubi attempts to cause pain to Yamato without physical damage. However, it appears that Yamato can actually feel pain because of her name disappearing. Soubi takes advantage of this, but Ritsuka gets in his way before he can deliver a finishing blow. Kouya surrenders the battle, which ultimately means her death. She asks Yamato to join her, but they both decide to become reborn and not kill themselves, calling Nagisa and telling her that Zero is dead.

On their way home after the fight, Soubi tells Ritsuka that Seimei is the only one that he truly had a bond with, but that Seimei never felt that way. Ritsuka wonders if Seimei only used Soubi as a tool...

Great episode. In the previous episodes, I never really felt for the new Zero pair at all, but this one really made me feel for Yamato. She had such a connection with Kouya and they shared everything since the moment they met, but suddenly she is losing one of the things that binds her to Kouya, her symbol. As Ritsuka says, although zero cannot feel pain, they are still human, and therefore can feel pain in ways other than the physical.

So anyways, looks like we're done with the Zero arc. It looks like Yuiko may confess to Ritsuka in the next ep... that may be interesting. Oh, and Enjoy!

Uta∽Kata Episode 13 (OAV)

Cute wrap-up episode in which Manatsu and Kai come back to their respective pals and hang out for Christmas. Sei has moved to Germany to study and Ichika is alone for Christmas which is also her birthday. The shards of mirror disappear and Manatsu and Kai come out to play for a little while. It was nice to see this show again after several months, and although it was kind of sad, it was also very sweet as well.

Shojo Beat Issue 1 (July 2005)

Yay! I was finally able to get my hands on the first issue of Shojo (Shoujo!!!) Beat today. All in all I was pretty impressed by the new manga magazine. Included in this issue was:

Nana- (Ai Yazawa) a very popular manga in Japan by the manga-ka of Paradise Kiss (which I also love). So far it's about a girl who has a very bad history with guys and she wants to go to Tokyo to be with her friends and new love interest. I liked this one quite a bit and SB issue 1 has 100 pages of it! Very cool.

Absolute Boyfriend- (Yuu Watase) the newest manga, also known as Zettai Kareshi, from the manga-ka of some very famous manga such as Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, Imadoki and Alice 19th. This one's about a girl who gets rejected by a guy she really likes and mail-orders herself a boyfriend. Reminds me of Chobits (or any other andriod girl series) reversed. Should definitely be interesting, a lot of humor in this one too. Probably my favorite from the magazine.

Godchild- (Kaori Yuki) from the manga-ka of Angel Sanctuary. Kind of weird and gothic, also pretty gory so far. I wasn't too impressed by this one, but it was pretty interesting nonetheless. Not really my kind of manga...

Kaze Hikaru- (Taeko Watanabe) Basically a shoujo manga about the Shinsengumi (Shisengumi stuff is way over-done in my opinion). Not real interested in this one, haven't really read it yet.

Baby & Me- (Marimo Ragawa) Aka-chan to Boku, Classic shoujo manga about a young boy that is forced to take care of his baby brother after his mother's death. Way too much for a little kid to handle... It's cute, but kind of depressing in a way too.

Crimson Hero- (Mitsuba Takanashi) Started reading it... but wasn't super interesting. A shoujo sports manga with a very tomboyish girl that wants to play volleyball. I usually hate sports manga/anime and I hate volleyball, so this was pretty much a no-go for me. The art is okay, but the characters are pretty ugly. Basically nothing of interest for me in this one.

So basically the consensus was pretty good. I really liked the first few mangas and the rest are ignorable since it only costs $5.99. Another thing is that there are interviews with some of the manga-ka's and some other stuff included. Also, the first episode of Ultra-Maniac is included as a bonus DVD with the manga (though it's a dub of course).

I thought it was a little strange to see beauty tips and stuff along side all of the manga, but maybe some girls that read manga care about beauty tips being in their manga magazine? Unlikely... oh well, there were interesting things as well like trends in Tokyo and cute horoscopes. There were also ads for other manga/anime, but that stuff I don't mind because I'm always on the lookout for new manga. =)

Loveless Episodes 8 and 9: Trustless/Skinless

Episode 8: Trustless

Ritsuka questions his relationship with Soubi and is upset with him about going off and fighting without telling him and not answering his calls. Meanwhile Soubi goes off to fight again by himself with a new "Zero" pair consisiting of a female couple who are quite close... Anyways, they are quite formidable and leave Soubi in pretty bad shape when Ritsuka finds him.

Episode 9: Skinless

Ritsuka arrives to Soubi's rescue, but so do Natsuo and Youji and they all get in a taxi and go to Soubi's together. Ritsuka wonders who all these people are, and Natsuo and Youji explain some of the stuff about fighters and sacrifices. They also explain that "Loveless" has his own fighter out there somewhere, since Soubi is really Seimei's fighter.

Meanwhile, Kouya and Yamato (the other Zero) are confronted by their maker, Nagisa (quite a bubbly girl), and she tells Yamato that she's replaceable as a sacrifice. Kouya is disgusted by the idea of having another sacrifice other than Yamato and is scared of losing her.

Apparently Nagisa had made a bet with Ritsu-sensei that her Zero could beat Soubi, but he says the fight was unfair because it was 2 on 1. She attempts to lure Ritsuka out to fight with Soubi, but Natsuo and Youji go out to confront them. Youji is immediately incapacitated and Yamato and Kouya challenge Ritsuka to fight them, which he accepts...

Okay, yah it's kind of confusing, especially with the way I wrote it... Oh well, it was a little confusing as I watched it lol. These were interesting episodes, especially with our new lesbian Zero pair. The yuri element was interesting in such a shounen-ai show, but it worked okay. I was a little confused by Kouya's disappearing cat ears, but it became a little more apparent when they showed they were removeable. Which of course brings me to question why she even bothers to wear them, except maybe the fact that she would look bad as a high-school girl without her ears. Anyone else notice that the majority of the high school girls in Shibuya didn't have their ears? =) Looking forward to the fight with Ritsuka, Soubi and Yuri Zero... Only 3 episodes left!!! (I think)

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 8

Kurogane decides to storm the castle, but first Chun-yan takes Syaoran and Sakura to a headquarters for those that tried to rebel against the leader. Sorata and Arashi are there (kind of) and they tell Chun-yan that everyone wants to stop trying to rebel. She is very upset, but as they walk by the castle, Sakura says it is calling to her and flies into it. Syaoran follows her, running into the castle, despite Chun-yan's protests.

Inside they appear in some strange desert area, and the leader guy attacks them with fire and rocks but is soon distracted by his son. Some strange creatures appear near Sakura and Syaoran steps in front of her. Sakura tells him to wait and explains that the creatures are actually some of the rebel men from the village who got trapped in the castle. Sakura and Syaoran leave the castle and tell everyone what they saw, giving them hope that their friends are still alive and can return to normal if they defeat the leader. Meanwhile, leader-guy (yah yah, he has a name, but who really cares?) awakens a strange looking woman...

This was another anime-exclusive episode, but it was a pretty good one in my opinion. I am enjoying the fact that Sakura plays more of a role in the anime series than she did in the manga, and this episode seemed more in context than the anime-only Hanshin episode. The part where the voice told Sakura to leave with the person she cares about and she grabs Syaoran's hand and smiles was really adorable. Next ep should have more action...

Peach Girl Episode 17

Okay.. I'm going to make this one short and sweet.

Sae poses for a risque magazine and Momo and Kairi find out she's been doing everything Ryo asks of her and she buys him nice stuff with the money she makes. Ryo signs her up to be in a porn video, but she thinks it's a promo for a videogame. Momo and Kairi come to her rescue again, and she actually apologizes for all she's done to them and seems to have turned over a new leaf (for now at least), tho for some reason she's still in love with Ryo.

Momo continues to be jealous of Misao despite what she told Kairi... Misao comes in to the convenience store that Momo and Kairi are working at for a summer job, she passes out from fatigue. While she is resting, Kairi kisses her just as Momo walks in (of course).

Well that wasn't as short as I thought, but it was quick to write anyways. This episode was alright I suppose, I really don't like Sae no matter how repentant she says she is... This episode also marked the return of sub-par animation so that didn't thrill me either. All in all the ep was okay, but I'm hoping for better in the future.

Loveless Episode 7: Tearless

Soubi continues his fight with Zero and they continue to torture him and try to make him contact Ritsuka. Soubi eventually wins by exploiting Zero's weakness (extreme cold), and walks away injured. He meets Ritsuka on his way home and keeps his distance from him, not wanting Ritsuka to know he is injured. When Soubi's almost home, he see's the injured Zero and takes them home with him!

Not much of Rituska in this episode ;_;, but that's okay because they developed Soubi more which definetly needed doing. There was also focus on their teacher and her feelings for Soubi as well. Personally I don't really know why she likes him... he's a complete jerk to her, but girls are weird. Ritsuka also seems to be more and more smitten with Soubi as time goes on...

Sorry about not posting in so long! I've been pretty busy after getting back from my trip, but I should be able to catch up pretty soon... I may even be able to blog a couple episodes tonight. No promises tho! At the very latest I will have at least a few done tonight.

Anyone interested in me posting manga reviews? I read a lot of manga and this just was an idea... I tend to read mostly shoujo, but it varies from time to time. What I'd probably do is review volumes as they are released here in the U.S. or review a scanslated manga once in awhile. For those series that are ongoing already, I'll just write a short review of the volumes I've read so far and go a little more indepth on that particular volume that I just got.

In other news, anyone going to Anime-Expo this year? I'm going with my buds and this is my 4th time going... I'll definetly be doing a report and post some pictures when I get back.

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 7

Syaoran and co. arrive in a new place and Sakura is harrassed by some big guy. Syaoran proceeds to beat him up and finds out he is the son of the leader of the area. A young girl appears named Chun'yan (Chun Hyang?) and she takes them to her house. It seems she's been waiting for someone/some people called the Miteshu who supposedly have a message for her and she thought that Syaoran and the others were them. She takes them in anyways, but the house is soon attacked by Ryoshi, the leader of the city, with a tornado-like wind.

Kurogane and Fai (Kinda) repair the damage done to Chun'yan's house and she takes Sakura and Syaoran out to find some local clothes. Sakura ends up winning a lottery big time and gets free clothes for all of them. Chun'yan asks if Sakura has always been lucky, but Sakura replies that she can't remember and explains their journey to her. Chun'yan sees smoke rising from the village and they run to help. Ryoshi's son is wreaking havoc again on innocent villagers and he uses Chun'yan's mother's fan to create men that attack them. Syaoran beats them all pretty easily, but Ryoshi helps out his son and creates more of a problem for them. Ryoshi's son destroys the fan and he leaves, but Chun'yan is crushed that her late mother's only remaining possession is now gone.

This was a pretty good ep, tho I thought it was strange that they would change some of the names and stuff... like Amenosa became Miteshu... but I don't really care. Also, the dice game was changed to a lottery wheely thing that the balls pop out of (like you see on every anime...), is it to discourage kids from gambling or something? Anyways, the episode was entertaining, and Chun'yan is very cute. The sunset background in the latter part of the episode was very pretty I must say... Hopefully they won't take too long to move on to the next country tho, I want things to start moving at a little quicker pace.

Peach Girl Episode 16

Momo has trouble accepting that Kairi loves Misao more than her and Kairi doesn't want to hurt Momo even though he still loves her. Kairi tries to talk to Momo and basically has to drown himself in the pool to get her attention. He tells her of how Misao was the first person to care for him as himself and not as Ryo's little brother. He tells Momo he loves her, but loves Misao even more and tells Momo he wants to break up so he won't hurt her anymore. Momo is torn up by this and runs into Touji and tells him what happened with Kairi.

The next day, Touji punches Kairi and tells him he shouldn't have left Momo in his care. Touji goes out to talk to Momo and tells her he wants to go out with her, and tries to kiss her. She pushes him away saying that she really loves Kairi, and Touji tells her to go tell Kairi that (he was testing her apparently?). She confronts Kairi at the pool and tells him it's okay if they break up, but then she asks him out! She tells him she wants a fresh start with him and it's okay if he loves her 2nd best.. for now.

I'm glad Momo and Kairi are back together... I was worried for a second that she'd go out with Touji again and the cycle would start all over, but thank god that didn't happen. I feel bad for Touji, but I kinda think he's getting what he deserves after being such an idiot. It's hard to really understand Kairi's feelings for Misao, but I think Momo hit it on the head with his unwillingness to get too close to anyone. Momo really showed her strength by accepting that Kairi loves another woman more than her and is commited to convincing him otherwise. This part is especially close to my heart because I experienced something similiar to this before... =)

Anyways, the animation made a drastic improvement from the previous couple eps, and I'm pretty sure this is probably my favorite Peach Girl ep so far!

Loveless Episode 6: Painless

Ritsuka questions the meaning of love and why everyone keeps using the word "love" with him... Yuiko and everyone try to get Ritsuka to join their club at school, but he says he's busy on Wednesdays. He doesn't tell them why, but he goes to talk to Katsuko-sensei (the psychiatrist/counselor lady who seems to have an unhealthy obsession with him) that day. This time when he meets with her, she invites him on a date and treat him to whatever he wants.

Meanwhile, Ritsuka's teacher is about to make a home visit to his house when she's accosted by an androgynous pair who take control of her using her name. They take her off to an abandoned park, saying it's about time she loses her ears... Luckily Soubi randomly shows off and fight with the pair, called "Zero", who apparently can feel no pain, but seem to enjoy causing it. Fortunately for him (I suppose...), Soubi has been trained to endure pain by his former sensei. However, Zero seems to have an edge in this fight since Soubi's power is reduced to 1/4 because of having a second sacrifice and Loveless no even being there...

I'm very happy that this series is once again really commanding my interest. Zero definitely seem more formidable than past Fighter/Sacrifice pairs in that they definitely do not seem to have the human feelings that the other pairs had. Also the fact that they are pretty much androgynous (tho most likely male) adds to that non-human quality (not to mention the fact they don't feel pain...). It was interesting to see a little of Soubi's past as well since this is the first time we've seen him younger and more vulnerable.

I also enjoyed the cute SD stuff in the beginning and that the episode started very humorously and cute, but turned pretty dark towards the end. This is also the first real cliffhanger episode there's been... which is annoying!!!

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 6

Syaoran fights Shougo without much of a resolution... Masayoshi's kudan grows very large to protect him and Mokona pin-points the feather to be in his kudan. Syaoran dives at the very large kudan that is causing havoc on the streets of Hanshin and pulls the feather out. He delivers the feather back to Sakura and she wakes up... wondering who he is. He explains that she is a princess who lost her memories and that they are traveling with her to help her find them. Syaoran goes outside in the rain, protected by the 3 kudan...

Everyone goes out for okonomiyaki afterwards and hang out one last time before they leave Hanshin to go to the new world. As they are in the vortex on the way to the new place, Sakura grabs Syaoran's hand, saying she's scared.

Well we finally got our dramatic moment! It actually was okay, but I gotta say it was a lot more emotional for me in the manga. My main gripe with the way they did it was that Syaoran was spotless after his fight with Masayoshi's kudan and everything, where as in the manga he was all beat up and actually looked like he went through hell to get that feather. This added a lot for me at the moment he returns the feather, because it shows how much he suffered to give her that single feather, and yet she looks at him saying "Anata... dare?".

Aaaanyways, this ep was alright I suppose, I'm glad we're moving on from Hanshin finally. The next world isn't my favorite either, but it should be a pretty short one I think.

Peach Girl Episode 15

Ryo continues his advances on Momo, but she kicks his ass. Kairi has no problem now convincing Momo that Ryo is a bad person. Ryo hits on Sae and gives her another of his infamous necklaces. She brags to Momo about it thinking Momo likes Ryo, and offers to give Touji back to her, which she almost considers for a second (NOOOOO!!!). Momo and Kairi go to Ryo's office to confront him, and Ryo corners Momo in the women's bathroom and tells her that Kairi won't embrace the girl he truly loves (which of course he's done to Momo a million times). She's doesn't really believe him, but can't help but wonder...

Later, Momo goes over to Kairi's house and he makes a move on her and she doesn't resist... but as willing as she is, he stops and leaves her hanging. The next day at school is really awkward and Kairi avoids Momo like the plague. Momo goes over to Misao, the school nurse's, house to get some advice from her, but Kairi shows up unexpectedly. Momo talks to Kairi outside and asks if he loves Misao... and he nods.

Poor Momo, she can never catch a break can she? Just when she thinks she's with a guy that will be honest with her and truly love her, she finds out he's in love with another woman... I kinda had a feeling they were leading towards this, but I still was kind of shocked by the revelation that Kairi was in love with Misao. Looks like Momo may be getting back together with Touji... which will not make me happy.. >/ Overall this was a good episode though, even if it was pretty painful.

Loveless Episode 5: Sleepless

Soubi (and Ritsuka I suppose) fight the new Fighter/Sacrifice pair called "Sleepless" (ironic since Ritsuka was talking about not being able to sleep earlier in the episode), made up of Kinka and Ginka. Soubi wins as usual, and Ritsuka recieves a letter from a teacher at the school of the Seven Moons explaining the death of his brother... or so he thinks. Apparently Soubi has some kind of secret that has to do with the sensei as well.

Later that night, when Ritsuka is in the bath, Soubi sends him a message, and he sends a sweet message back "Go to sleep, chuu" (awwww..).

The action definetly picked up in this episode again with another cool spell battle. Kinka and Ginka seem like an interesting pair, but I doubt they'll be fighting Soubi and Ritsuka again (considering they got beat very badly...). Ritsuka questions Soubi again, this time wondering if he only does things for him because he sees it as an "order". I thought the part at the end where they were sending messages to each other was pretty cute. =) The next episode looks interesting... with some really adorable SD Ritsuka moments (has he even been SD before at all??). Sometimes I forget that Ritsuka is supposed to be 12...

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 5

Syaoran and the others go out to search for Sakura's feather again, convinced that it must be attached to a very strong kudan. Along the way the run into Masayoshi and almost immediately he and Mokona get kidnaped by a large metal bird looking kudan. A note is left telling them to go to Hanshin Castle if they want to save them.

Apparently Primela (aka cute little fairy from Rayearth.. but bigger now), a popular idol in Hanshin, has kidnapped them, thinking that Masayoshi is Syaoran in order to lure out Shougo. Syaoran and the others show up and point out she has the wrong person, and Fye volunteers to fight her to save them. He brings out his kudan in the shape of a large bird that has the powers of the wind (also from Rayearth...) and allows him to fly. He battles Primela's kudan which is a microphone that amplifies her voice and produces music notes and things that explode.

Their fight is interrupted by Shougo showing up and confronting Primela and she reveals that it was just an excuse to get his attention because he wasn't spending enough time with her lately... (awwww...). Syaoran asks Shougo if his kudan possibly has the feather and his response is to challenge Syaoran to a fight so he can find out for himself...

Well, if you paid enough attention so far you can figure out who has the feather at this point...

The only things I noticed that were changed from the manga was that Primela spewed musical notes out of her mic instead of "words", even though she was still just shouting, not singing. Also, her fan club was missing (her huuuuuuge fan club), which would have been nice to include since it was pretty funny, but it's not a big deal...

I definetly enjoyed this episode more than the last one just because it was better executed and the pace is picking up a little more. We should get to some more emotional moments in the next episode, especially since the title is "Nakanai Namida" or "Uncried Tears"...

Well I've been a little sidetracked lately with playing Sims 2 (which is amazingly addicting...) and also.. stuff really hasn't been coming out quickly lately. Loveless is on hold because the translator is gone for a couple weeks or something, and I'm trying to keep up on Peach Girl and Tsubasa (which I will be watching shortly...). I also have been getting my anime fix with Inu-yasha which I've been getting the DVD's of off Netflix and watching them with my boyfriend. I feel kind of like a loser watching Inu-yasha (or letting people know that at least), but it's actually a really fun and well-done series! We're about on episode 25 I think, and have many many more to go (167 eps total to be exact... plus 4 movies). Also, my boyfriend is incredibly picky with anime, so the fact that he likes it is a testament to how good it is. =) I'll let you guys know what I think of it when I'm have more of it watched...

Peach Girl Episode 14

Kairi's older brother, Ryo, is introduced and it seems that he is the one that Morika wanted to meet at the hotel. Unfortunately, it seems that he has an eye for Momo and decides to get her for his own. He tells Momo that Morika was really dating him when she was messing around with Kairi and ultimately chose Ryo over him when it came down to a choice. He said he let Kairi think this so that he would be angry and him and not Morika. For some reason Momo falls for his story and starts to think Ryo is really a good guy and not the jerk Kairi tells her he is.

Momo invites Kairi on a date, but while he's in the bath, Ryo answers the phone impersonating Kairi and agrees to meet her the next day. Ryo meets with her and tells her that Kairi couldn't make it and invites Momo to a party. After the party he takes her to a green house type place and tells her another story about a girl that Ryo once loved and that died. He tells Momo that she reminds him of his dead girlfriend and wants to hold her. Momo agrees, being the nice person she is, and Kairi walks in of course. He's not angry at her, but slugs his brother in the face. Momo tries to explain what happened, but Kairi tells her that Ryo is lying to her and he's a horrible person. For some reason, Momo doesn't believe him and says that he is really a good person and Kairi just doesn't know it (ok, who's being Touji-stupid now Momo???).

Ahhh... just when things were getting happy again. There's been a total role reversal now where Momo is playing the part of Touji, Kairi is playing Momo and Ryo is the male Sae of course. It seems a little redundant at this point... but I just want things to happen between Momo and Kairi finally and have it work. I think I would be pretty upset if she ends up going back to Touji, but now she's making the same stupid mistake he did... Oh well, we'll see where it goes from here.

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 4

Interesting that we'd have a "filler" episode already... or I guess you could call it that.

Well since this was pretty much an anime exclusive story, I won't elaborate on the summary until I watch the sub...
Basically Sakura wakes up while everyone except Arashi is out and she tries on some clothes and leaves, unbeknownst to Arashi until she walks in and sees Sakura missing. Sakura goes around looking for her own feathers... and stumbles into a couple of the gang memebers on the way. Eventually she finds her way back to Syaoran and the others, but she is asleep again (having flown through the sky and passed out, falling to the ground).

Primela made a short cameo here and she will have her fun in the next episode (though this time it looks like she'll be using music instead of words as her Kudan... which works better in anime than the words would I'm sure).

I wasn't real crazy about this episode just because it detracts from what is going on with everyone else. It didn't really make sense to me that Sakura would wake up and just wander around and not really seem to worry about the fact that her mind is almost a total blank. However, maybe this will all make sense in the long run? Oh and the animation seemed kinda lacking in this episode as well... especially near the beginning of the episode.

Momo and Kairi have been dating for a couple of months now when his ex-girlfriend, Morika, comes unto the scene. Apparently Kairi's older brother is quite the player and had stolen Morika away from him. Despite Kairi saying he and Morka never dated seriously, she tells a different story to Momo. Momo basically ignores her and has faith that Kairi sees only her. However, as Momo is about to find Kairi and give him a gift she made for him, she sees him talking with Morika and making plans to meet her at a hotel...

Of course, just as Momo and Kairi are getting close, something like this has to happen. However everything just looks like a misunderstanding which should hopefully be cleared up quickly, Kairi is not as stupid as Touji so I'm not too too worried. I was slightly annoyed by the below-average animation in this episode... everyone just looked really ugly most of the time... Hopefully we'll get more pretty episodes like ep 12! =)

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 3

Syaoran returns Sakura's feather to her and she warms up a little bit. Sorata and Arashi finally show up and give them a place to stay. Mokona points out that he can let them know when a feather is close by going "Mekyo" (his eyes get big and scary...). We learn more about what happened when Kurogane was sent to Yuuko by Tomoyo... and he sees a Tomoyo-hime look alike in Hanshin and chases after her. He loses track of her but is accousted by one of the Kudan gangs and is attacked by the chubby guy's horseshoe crab kudan. A large blue dragon (Selece)appears as his kudan and turns into a sword with which he counters the crab's attacks.

Meanwhile, Syaoran and Fye are led to a restaurant by Mokono to find Hanshin's version of Touya and Yukito working there! Of course Syaoran thinks they are the king and high priest at first, but quickly remembers that there are alternate versions of everyone around.

That night, Syaoran finally gets some much needed sleep, and while everyone rests, Sakura opens her eyes and sits up, staring somewhat blankly at the sleeping Syaoran...

Ooookay.. a few changes here:

1. Well we finally do meet Sorata and Arashi, but they play a much minor role in the fact that they're just providing shelter and aren't the ones to give the Hashin and Kudan lessons to everyone.

2. Kurogane never saw a Tomoyo look-alike and all 3 of them, plus Masayoshi, were at the Okonomiyaki place and all of them were also together when they fought the horseshoe crab guy (though Kuro was the one to fight him anyways).

3. Sakura does NOT wake up at this point and only revives somewhat when the next feather is returned.

I wonder how they're going to handle this... is this just going to be a solitary incident and she is asleep when they all get up until the next feather? or is she going to be awake pretty much from now on? I suppose that will remain to be seen. I'm hoping they still pull off the scene from the manga when she first wakes up when her feather is returned... because it's a very poignant and heartwrenching moment.

Aaanyways, I was happy with this episode and keep in mind that I'm not really nit-picking the episodes because they somewhat differ from the manga, I just thought people might be interested in what changes were made =).

Matantei Loki Ragnarok Episode 5

There is a phantom thief in town, and Mayura's on the case. She tries to convince Loki to help, but he seems uninterested. Upon finding out that Kaitou Freyr's next target is the Brisings' Necklace, and that Freyr is sending him a direct challenge, he joins in the capture.

Upon talking to Freyr and seeing the necklace, Loki asks him if "she" is on earth as well. Apparently "she" refers to Freyr's sister, Freya, to whom the necklace belongs. As Loki fights Freyr, Heimdall sends his hawk to grab the necklace...

Loveless Episode 3: Bondless

No battles this time, but a really good epiosde! Ritsuka is still confused about Soubi's feelings for him and his feelings for Soubi... Soubi gives him a cell phone so he can reach him anytime, even though Ritsuka protests. We are also introduced to Yayoi, a guy who's in love with Yuiko and was rejected by her because he was "too short" and he provides some much needed comedy relief =). Of course he's upset that Yuiko likes Ritsuka because he is also quite short...

We discover that Soubi is a Japanese Art student at a university and we are also introduced to one of his fellow students/friends/maybe more (?), Kio, who also provides some laughs as well. Soubi has Ritsuka pierce his ears to show that he is bound to him and can order him to do anything he wants. Ritsuka uses the opportunity to order Soubi to tell him anything he knows about the Seven Moon, but Soubi tells him he can't...

Man that ear piercing scene was interesting... Anyways! I'm glad they introduced a couple new characters to spice things up a little bit. The confession scene with Yayoi and Yuiko was pretty hilarious... I'm also interested to find out the connection between Soubi and Kio. This episode proves that this series is just as good without the battles, actually I kind of prefer it this way... This show is definetly getting very addicting...

Peach Girl Episode 12

A few months pass and it's the beginning of the new school year. Momo and Kairi seem to be getting closer and they are in the same class again (of course... so are Sae and Touji). On a class trip, Momo and Kairi hang out a lot together and seem pretty happy, despite Sae's attempts at making Momo jealous of her and Touji. Touji pretty much answers to Sae's demands, but shows no emotions and refuses to even talk to her. Kairi's fanclub and Sae try to get Momo lost in the woods, but Kairi finds her eventually... then he kisses her!

Needless to say, Momo is confused about her emotions towards Kairi, and thinks that she is using him since she doesn't really love him. She still loves Touji, but enjoys being around Kairi and having the attention he gives her. When she tells Kairi this, he replies that he's happy just to be around her (awwww!) and he doesn't care if she still loves Touji, as long as he can make Momo happy. Oh and they kiss again... =)

Oh man, I was loving this episode as I'm sure you could guess. All along I've been waiting for her to see what a great guy Kairi is, and I think it's really starting to become apparently to her. From the looks of the next episode, it seems that things may start going downhill again, but it was worth it for this episode cause it just made me nice and happy.

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 2

Well I DID write a summary, but blogger decided to be stupid and not publish correctly so I lost all that I wrote (my fault for not copying it...). Anyways, I'll write it up later. For now... my comments!

Some somewhat minor changes from the manga here... first of all, the appearance of Rayearth in the transporting vortex thingy was not in the manga. Also, they ended up appearing in the middle of a battle in Hanshin rather than being at Sorata and Arashi's place and being given the background of the Hanshin Republic and the "kudan" (which was funny and helpful, so I'm disappointed they left this out...). Another change was that in the manga Sakura's first feather was immediately given to her when they arrived in Hanshin, rather than Syaoran having to chase after it and such. Despite the changes, I was pretty pleased with the episode, tho it seemed that the animation suffered a little during the whole Yuuko scene (she looked weird!), but that was mostly all talking and stuff so I suppose it didn't really matter...

Loveless Episode 2: Memoryless

Ritsuka is having very confused feelings about Soubi and when Yuiko reaches out to him again and says she likes him, he pushes her away yet again. When Ritsuka finds a hidden message from his brother saying that he was murdered by the "Seven Moons" and that he will leave his fighter for Ritsuka, he gets even further confused. He asks Soubi if he's there because his brother told him to be there, and he says yes, but still says that he loves Ritsuka.

Back at school, some girls in class are reading about Seimei and gossiping about it, Yuiko tells them to stop, but Ritsuka walks in in the middle of it. He says he too is interested in what happened and tells them the gruesome details of his brother's death... As he walks back out to the hallway, he runs into Ai and Midori again, who reveal they were sent by the Seven Moons, and a fight ensues when Soubi appears from nowhere again. After another cool battle, Midori and Ai are defeated and Soubi carries them off.

This was another good episode, and proabably better than the first because it really shows Ritsuka as a more emotional person than before. He obviously has a very messed up relationship with his mom (I think she was strangling him at some point...?) who I think may feel he is responsible for Seimei's death somehow.... Plus he has a big problem with people saying they love him and not meaning it. I'm glad he's now becoming friends with Yuiko now, since he really seems to need a friend (plus he made her stop referring to herself in the 3rd person which was soooo annoying). He really seems to be in love with Soubi as well, so we'll see what happens with all of that...

Matantei Loki Ragnarok Episode 4

Not really any plot revealed this time, but a cute story from Mayura's past. Mayura's dad grounds her from going to Loki's for awhile because he's tired of her obsession with detective stuff. Loki is bribed by pizza to help Mayura, so he sends them into their past to when Mayura was young and her mother had recently died. Mayura was obsessed with detectives even then because the last thing her mother had bought her was a book about a detective cat.

She goes on a search to find her mother unbeknownst to her father and he goes in search of her. When he finally catches up to her at the amusement park, she is upset because her mother is not there where she expected her to be. He father reassures her and says that he will take her mother's place. When chibi-Mayura asks how he found her, he says it's because he's a famous detective! Older Mayura comments that that's when she first decided she wanted to be a detective as well, because she wanted to be like her daddy (awwww!).

Very cute and heartwarming episode... tho it doesn't have much to do with anything except give us a little bit of insight to Mayura's past and her father's personality. Next time is Freyr... he's pretty funny. =)

Yah, this ep is pretty straight forward... nothing too major happens. Though this is the first time we see that Loki really does care about Mayura, probably the first time he ever really cared about any human. It was pretty funny when Heimdall kissed her, and you know his intent was just to piss off Loki. =)

Matantei Loki Ragnarok Episode 2

We find out that Loki was banished from the world of the gods by Odin for some unknown reason and was forced to take on the guise of a child.

Mayura is trying to recruit people at school for the mystery club, but everyone is pretty much scared off. They run across a transfer student named Narugami who always carries his wooden sword with him everywhere. Yamino senses something from him, but Loki is too busy getting fawned over by all the girls. Mayura drags Loki with her around the school to find some mysteries, but Loki disproves all of them... except when a big suit of armor comes to life and starts attacking people.

Loki finds out that it is going after him and even after he defeats the armor, the sword it holds possesses Mayura and she attacks Loki. Lukily, he is saved by Narugami's wooden sword that comes flying toward them. Then the sword from the suit of armor seems to come to life on it's own and attacks him, but Yamino saves him by throwing Loki's staff. Narugami acts as if he is going to attack Loki, but Loki reveals that Narugami is Thor, the Norse god of thunder (cept he has a sword instead of a hammer?).

Yes, Mayura sure gets possessed a lot throughout the show, tho as far as I remember it kind of dwindles as time goes on and the story gets deeper. Narugami is a pretty funny character and he provides a lot of the comedy relief thoughout the show... One of the best parts of this episode, however, is how much of a player Loki is, he sure can get the women even with such a young appearance =).

Matantei Loki Ragnarok Episode 1

Mayura is a strange girl that loves a "fushigi mystery" (mysterious mystery...) and comes across a doll with an evil spirit in it. As scary as the doll is (it talks and laughs very creepily "ufufufufufuu"), she thinks it will make her famous and takes her home! However, a cat that was at the clocktower she took it from comes and drags it away right in front of her. As she is chasing the doll down she comes across a strange house called the "Enjaku Detective Agency". She decides to ask the detective for advice on the doll and sees a handsome guy standing outside and assumes it's the detective. He brings her inside the very creepy house and takes her to the real detective, Loki, who looks like a 10 year-old boy! When she comments on this, he has Yamino, his "servant", kick her out. She keeps going after the doll, and Loki decides to follow her because he has strange vibes about the whole thing as well.

At the clock tower, Mayura goes up and finds the doll again, and this time it is very angry. An old woman (that just happens to vome there) tells Loki that the house burnt down 20 years ago and the young girl that lived there died in the blaze, leaving her doll behind. Loki realizes that a vengeful spirit has entered the doll because the doll felt it was abandoned by the girl. He puts a bracelet on Mayura (that was the little girl's) that he borrowed from the old woman and her spirit possesses Mayura and she is able to comfort the doll, making the evil spirit leave.

Mayura is at Loki's later and claims that she is now part of the detective agency so that she can discover more fushigi mysteries!

Okay, you may be wondering why I'm blogging a series that's a couple years old, but it's mostly because I wanted to! I just bought the first volume of the Loki manga and it got me in the mood to watch it again (yes this is my second viewing of the series). Another reason is... this is my blog and I can do what I want! I mean... cause I don't have many other series I'm blogging at the moment and I thought this would fill some time (plus it makes for some pretty screen caps!).

This manga was done by the same author of Tactics, Sakura Kinoshita. I'm also pretty sure that it's the same animator, director, etc as Tactics as well, so it has a very similar feel to it. However, I'm a lot more partial to the plot and characters in Loki than in Tactics for some reason... Also, Loki has a base in Norse Mythology and I'm a huuuuge sucker for that kind of stuff.

This anime is also licensed by ADV and will probably be released on DVD fairly soon. Therefore, I am basically promoting the DVD's and will not answer any questions about where to get the fansubs (If you're wondering, I got them before they were licensed and saved them on CD's =P).

Well, I finished several series (that I didn't blog or didn't blog all of) within the last couple weeks, so I thought I'd give a short note/rating for each of the series in case anyone is interested (which I doubt...).

Haibane Renmei - got the DVD's from Netflix and I really enjoyed this series. Overall it was kind of sad and at the same time was really cute and sweet. I had watched a couple episodes when they aired, but it was a little slow for me at the time, however this time around I had more time to sit down and enjoy them and that I did! It probably isn't the most memorable series or anything, but it was a good watch. (B+)

Sukisyo - this didn't appeal to me too much in the beginning because the animation was pretty crappy... However, I got over that pretty quickly and started to really like the show. It starts out very lighthearted with a subtle hint of the mysteries to come, but then you get the full brunt of it in the last few episodes. This show is definetly considered shounen-ai so it won't be for everyone (in fact, I'm pretty sure there are no females in existance in this show). (B)

Air TV - Very sad ending =( but that was to be expected... I was holding out some hope that Yukito would come back, but maybe he never existed to begin with. I'm not sure when the movie is coming out, but hopefully pretty soon! I think I liked this more than Kanon, as it definetly has a higher production value, but they are both very good (if you love Air and haven't seen Kanon, do it!). (A-)

Genshiken - I stopped watching this about halfway thru when it first came out.. and my friends were bored one night a week or so ago and I mentioned this show (thinking they would find it pretty boring) and they absolutely loved it. I think that's because this show works better with your own personal group of nerds/dorks to watch the nerdiness on screen. There were definetly some episodes that were more boring than others, but it's worth it for the moments of brilliance/hilarity that often happen throughout the series. If you yourself are very obsessed with anime/manga/models/doujins/etc and you have friends that are as well, you should probably enjoy this series... tho it helps to have a dry sense of humor. (B+)

Also, I'm rewatching Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu with some of my friends who haven't seen it before, and I'm reminded of how great the show is... so watch that if you haven't! (and you like silliness...)

Loveless Episode 1: Breathless

Ritsuka is a seemingly depressed 6th grader that transfers to a new school. All the girls seem to think he's pretty cool, especially one girl, Yuiko, who is basically the lackey of the other girls in class. Although she shows an interest in Ritsuka, he tells her to stay away from him. As he leaves school, he is stopped by an older man with no cat ears (I'll get back to the ears later). He finds out the guy's name is Soubi and is a friend of his brother, Seimei, who was killed. Seeing as how he was really close to his brother, Ritsuka hangs out with him for the day and takes a lot of pictures with his camera (what he calls "making memories").

From there... some weird stuff happens. Soubi kisses Ritsuka and confesses his love for him. He also reveals that they are bound to each other and that he is his "Fighter". Another fighter and his companion are in the area and a fight ensues. Soubi furthur reveals that he was a fighter for Seimei as well and uncovers a scar that spells out "Beloved" on his neck that was previously covered with bandages. He tells Ritsuka that his true name is "Loveless" (Ritsuka's that is) and fends off the attacks of "Breathless" and the other fighter, Midori. After their attackers leave, Soubi holds a very confused Ritsuka in his arms and when Ritsuka wakes up, he thinks he imagined everything. However, he has the pictures on his camera to prove that he and Soubi really met...

This show is very stylistic and pretty, and the animation is very high quality for a TV series. I was a little confused by some of what was happening, but I think it's one of those things you just have to watch. I actually enjoyed this quite a bit, but I'm not super fond of the characters so far. Ritsuka is just really angsty and Soubi seems like your typical mysterious bishounen. However, I'll give the characters time to flesh themselves out. I can be a sucker for shounen-ai from time to time, so you could say that I'm just watching it to see what will happen with that... =) Oh and why do they have cat ears? I really don't know... all I know is that when they lose their virginity, their ears go as well! (What the.....) I am wondering tho... do they keep the tail?

Tsubasa Chronicle Episode 1

Wow, I was actually pretty impressed with how this turned out. The music stood out to me a lot and it sounded really good (though the song in the "separated by glass" scene reminded me of Noir music.. and the music towards the end reminded me of Mai-HiME). The OP and ED are also very good and have cool animation/cute animation. This basically followed the manga pretty much to a T, with a few small exclusions (like Chii's transformation, etc.). Syaoran and Sakura's voices are definetly different and sound more "toned down" from CCS, but considering they're really supposed to be different characters, it doesn't bother me so much.

I'm very happy with this and hopefully everyone else will be as well. =)

Mai-HiME Episode 26 (Final)

Ahh.. the final battle. Mai and Mikoto face off while Mashiro awakens the power of all the HiMEs by reviving their special person. Tate appears just in time to save Mai from being killed by "Reito" aka Obsidian Lord. While they fight Mai realizes all she has to do is tell Mikoto how she feels about her. Having done so, it breaks the spell her brother had over her and she turns back to normal. Mikoto then stabs Reito's necklace, shattering it and releasing the Kakuyou no Kimi spirit from him, which becomes some big sword-like thing with an eyeball (???).

With the help of the other HiME, they are able to defeat the giant ugly sword thingy and things can now go back to normal... First tho, everyone's HiME mark disappears, and Kagutsuchi flies away/disappears. It also appears that Mikoto dies, but she simply passed out from hunger... (oookay). We are given glimpses of everyone's happy new lives and all the weirdness that unfolds... here's a quick summary on what happens to everyone:

HiME:

Akane - happily together with Kazu again.
Yukino - being initiated into being executive director by none other than Haruka.
Fumi - becomes the director of the school in Mashiro's place. I think...
Miyu and Nao - become nuns in training??? What the....
Yukariko - obviously not a nun anymore as she is veeeery pregnant.
Alyssa - back with her Miyu again. (Where did she come from???)
Natsuki - has her usual chat with Sakomizu-sensei, who chides her for missing so much school.
Shizuru - threatens to not graduate so she can be with Natsuki...
Mai - together with Tate, and they're obviously very happy together. =)
Shiho - still very jealous of Mai and Tate, but seems to not want to kill Mai anymore.. which is good!
Akira - with Takumi in America after his successful surgery (and wearing a skirt!!!! Akira... not Takumi ^_^;).
Midori - off adventuring with her Professor.
Mikoto - happily claiming Mai's breasts for herself, and Mikoto's actually wearing a bra! (from Natsuki)

others:

Mashiro and Nagi - go through some weird door to ______.
Reito - seems back to normal.. as in not evil anymore.

Well, all in all I was pretty pleased with the ending. There were a few vomit-inducing moments that were slightly cheesy, but I let them slide without too much problem. I'm very happy there was a non-depressing ending as the series has been pretty depressing lately. There were also a few moments that felt really out of place, like Mikoto "dying", it was just kind of unnecessary. This last ep did have pretty much everything though, action, comedy, drama and just plain fun stuff. Works for me!

As for the series as a whole, I'd say it's definetly up there on my list of great shows. It had it's down moments when I felt like it wasn't going anywhere, or was just a little bored, but in the end it became very suspenseful and I couldn't wait for the next episode.

Peach Girl Episode 11

Sae revels in her victory over having Touji all to herself, while Momo remains confused and very hurt. She goes to the length of staying outside Touji's house in the snow for several hours one night, only to have her pictures and perfume bascially thrown at her and being told to leave (Ouch! Touji you jerk!). Momo gets a cold and stays home from school for awhile while Kairi picks fights with Touji at school.

After a week of her missing school, Kairi comes to visit her as he has every day and takes her out in her pj's to have some fun. He takes her shopping and buys her a fancy dress and accessories (apparently his brother had some cash to blow) as well as getting her hair and makeup done. Afterwards her praises her for looking so pretty and she actually starts to feel better about herself...

That night Momo hears a dog barking outside and thinks it's Touji, and at first she sees him and thinks it is, but it's Kairi again. She looks disappointed at seeing that it's only him and begins to cry... Kairi takes this opportunity to hold her in his arms while she sobs.

Oh man, I knew Touji was mean to Momo in the past "for her own good" but this is getting ridiculous. Seriously, how much could that one picture really hurt her? It doesn't really make any sense to me why he'd hurt her this much in exchange for somewhat "saving" her reputation. On the upside, looks like she may be having feelings for Kairi, which makes me very happy =). I didn't like Touji from the beginning and this stuff really solidifies it. He better watch out or else Kairi is gonna take Momo before he knows it! Kairi would make a much better boyfriend as it appears he cares about her feelings a lot more than Touji does. Touji really dropped the ball now, I hope he and Sae are happy together from now on!

Mai-HiME Episode 25

A sedate Mai says goodbye to a couple of her classmates as they board a train to leave. It seems that everyone has left the school except the final players: Mai, Natsuki, Shizuru, Mikoto, Reito, Nagi and Miyu. The HiME star is now on earth and everything is setting up for the final battle. Natsuki spends some time with Mai, but heads off to confront Shizuru. Shizuru claims that she will have Natsuki no matter what, and chases her down with Kiyohime in tow. Natsuki calls on a very large Duhran, and while the two Childs face off, she and Shizuru have a intimate conversation where Natsuki reveals that she loves her as well (tho is it really the same kind of "suki"?). As they embrace, and Natsuki kisses Shizuru, she has Duhran destroy Kiyohime and both Natsuki and Shizuru disppear in a flurry of green sparkles.

Meanwhile, Mikoto faces off with the newly revamped Miyu, and Mai confronts Nagi who takes her to the HiME pillars. As Natsuki and Shizuru's pillars appear, a gate opens leading downwards and takes Mai to where Reito is in the gate to the HiME star's power. He reveals that Mai is to become his wife and they will repopulate the earth together (like Adam and Eve). That is unless... she can defeat him (and by him he means Mikoto and her Child??? That pussy...). Miyu now is facing off with Nagi, but when she hears and feels Alyssia's spirit it unlocks a special mode for her in which she basically blows Nagi away (at least it appears so).

This was a good follow up to the very depressing, but very good episode 24. This one had more of a laid back feel to prepare you to the upcoming finale. Though Natsuki's (and Shizuru's) death was a little sad, it was a very poignant moment and was pretty powerful by itself. Hopefully there will be a somewhat happy ending after all this..

Tsubasa Chronicle Preview

From this preview/cm it looks pretty good so far, I think Syaoran's voice sounds okay... I can't really hear Sakura's over the narration, but it sounded okay from what I could hear. I'm pretty sure the background music is Kinya Kotani's "Blaze" which will be the opening for the series, and it sounds alright as well. The visuals and effects look good so far, so hopefully this series will live up to the manga pretty well at least =).

Peach Girl Episode 10

Kairi gets revenge on Sae by tricking her to going to an "audition" for a movie which actually turns out to be her being "attacked" by a large S&M type guy. Kairi tells Momo and Touji about his little revenge scheme and Momo goes to save her. Momo kicks the chubby attacker and knocks him out cold, but Sae is obviously upset and blames Momo (even tho Kairi tells her it was his doing, and he was just trying to scare her). Sae also tells Momo that nothing happened in the hotel room with Jigoro, and Momo is relieved but tells Sae that she is cutting her off completely and wants nothing to do with her anymore.

The next day at school, Momo and Touji plan a trip to the amusement park to make up for what happened on her birthday, and Momo is excited. Sae confronts Touji with the picture she took of Momo and Jigoro in the hotel room and threatens to release the pictures which will hurt Momo's reputation and possibly get her expelled unless Touji breaks up with her. Touji refuses, but Sae makes it clear that she is serious.

At the amusement park, Touji is obviously distracted by Sae's threat and Sae calls Momo during the date and askes to talk to Touji. She threatens again, and lets him know she is spying on them during their date, so he runs around trying to find her. Momo wants to know what's going on, but Touji tells her it's nothing. Touji wants to leave the amusement park (possibly to go and try to stop Sae), but Momo wants to ride the ferris wheel before they go. As they are riding it while the sun sets, Touji secretly dials Sae and when she answers he tells Momo he is tired of everything and wants to break up. Momo is of course shocked...

Later that night, Touji meets up with Sae and she gives him the pictures which he burns and then he deletes the picture off her phone. Sae asks when they're going on a date, and Touji replies he never agreed to go out with her and planned to go apologize to Momo. Of course, knowing Sae, she has another trick up her sleeve and reveals that she has a copy of the picture on a disk at home. Touji is pissed but knows that Sae has once again manipulated things in her favor.

The next day at school, Sae and Touji arrive arm in arm and Sae tells everyone they are dating now. Kairi runs off to Momo and tells her what's happening and she does her best to try to find Touji to get the the bottom of things. Kairi traps Touji so Momo can find him and she confronts him about why he broke up with her and if he's really dating Sae now. Then when Sae appears, he kisses her in front of Momo and Kairi, much to their disbelief...

Oh man is Touji an idiot... it's really kind of infuriating at this point. Sae has really turned into the complete bitch from hell, and Touji kind of deserves her with his coldness and stupidity. I'm pretty sure Momo would rather be expelled from school than put up with all this crap, I know I would. Besides, it's not like Sae could prove anything from a picture like that, for all anyone knows it could be photoshop'd or something (like in GTO >D). I really seriously think that Momo would be much better off with Kairi at this point definetly. Touji is just way too stupid and easy to manipulate... it's too bad cause he was starting to grow on me with the last couple of episodes, but that's all gone down the toilet now. Ahh well, maybe she'll realize what a good friend Kairi is and see the light finally... we'll see!

Mai-HiME Episodes 22-24

As this series gets near the end, I feel that anyone who is reading these entries has either seen the episodes or don't really care. In that light, I will only be commenting on my reactions to the episodes and maybe give a small summary and point out the main points. If you *really* want a detailed summary, visit Garten's site as usual. As for me, just enjoy the screen caps and hopefully you are enjoying the series as much as I am!

Episode 22:

Mai continues to deny her feelings for Tate and pushes him away even when he reaches out to her. Reito (or Prince Kakuyou) and Nagi set more of their evil plans into motion. Shizuru begins to become obsessive with her attraction to Natsuki to the point where it's getting kinda scary... and Haruka confronts Shizuru for abandoning the school and for hurting Yukino.

I thought this episode was pretty good, but it just seems like everything is just getting worse and worse for everyone involved (of course that's to be expected near the end of an anime like this). We no longer have silly moments that make us giggle once in awhile, it's straight up drama and some action at this point...

Episode 23:

We get our first glimpse of Mikoto's Child as she tries to stop Midori from awakening M.I.Y.U. again. Midori's Child is defeated, but she succeeds in awakening Miyu who runs off. At the same time Shizuru goes off the deep end and summons her Child to fight Yukino while Natsuki tries to stop her, but is unable to use her powers. Shizuru easily kills off Diana, Yukino's Child, and Haruka disappears. Mai goes to confront Yukariko at the church and is put into a dreamlike daze by the Sister's Child while she asks her what kind of world she really wants. Natsuki runs away from Shizuru's place and collapses on the sidewalk and is taken to the hospital, where Tate runs into her. She tells him about Mai's situation and why she's been so cold to him, and he runs off to look for her (even though he's supposed to be meeting Shiho outside where it's raining >D). Natsuki returns to her dorm only to get trapped in Nao's web where she's already trapped several guys that are all wrapped up... looks like she's been waiting for her there for awhile.

Man I love when Tate chose to go find Mai rather than meeting with Shiho, even though I know that's only gonna majorly piss Shiho off. I didn't even really feel bad when she fell out of her wheelchair and got stuck in the rain (yah, I know I'm evil...). Anyways, it was pretty sad when Haruka died, but at least she went out with a bit of a bang (which would be her style I suppose). Shizuru's seriously starting to freak me out now, and I wonder what she was doing with Natsuki while she was sleeping... that's just a little creepy. It's always the calm and cool people you need to be careful with I suppose. =)

Episode 24:

We go inside Mai's dream world where her family is together with Takumi and Mikoto as her siblings, Tate as her crush and Shiho as his little sister. Tate wins a kendo tournament and confesses his feelings to Mai with the sun setting behind them. As they are about to kiss, she realizes that this is in fact not real and that she can't have these feelings for Tate that could get him killed.

Back in the real world... Tate crashes into the church just as Mai is about to be engulfed by Yukariko's Child and knocks her out of the way. Yukariko ends up embracing Ishigami while they are both swallowed by her Child. Shizuru goes on a destruction spree and destroys the First District then moves on to find Nao whose Child she does away with pretty quickly. Natsuki is able to summon her powers again by realizing what's important to her and that she and Nao are very much alike. Shizuru is about to kill Nao herself but Natsuki stops her.

Nagi pays Shiho a visit and awakens all her hate of Mai within her and she is revealed as the ghost-like HiME in white (well duh...) and she is majorly pissed now (I never noticed this before, but as a HiME she wears the bridal gown that she showed Mai in an early episode, ironic isn't it? Yes.. I am slow). She attacks Mai after finding her and Tate coming out of the chuch and we learn that she is the one that killed Akira's HiME and therefore, killed Takumi. Mikoto is around and she overhears this, feeling relief that she didn't kill him. Mai refuses to attack Shiho's Child directly and tells Shiho that if either of their Childs die, then Tate will die! Of course Shiho is pretty outside herself right now and doesn't listen. Suddenly, Mikoto jumps in the fray and kills Shiho's Child and this time as Mai gets outraged again, she sees a tear fall down Mikoto's cheek as she says that it was an order from Ani-ue. Of course, now it's Tate's time to go and he disappears as Mai kisses him...

Okay, I said I wasn't gonna do a summary and I ended up doing a pretty long one... oh well! Anyways, this was definetly one of the better episodes in the whole series and really gave you a broad range of emotions from the beginning with the light-hearted dream world to the end with the few HiMEs left all pretty much losing their minds. Mai no longer has her "person most important to her" so she really has no reason to fight anymore. Natsuki is pretty much torn up about everything, Shizuru is completely insane and Mikoto is being controlled by her brother (though this episode showed her really starting to doubt herself a lot). Plus I'm really not sure of Miyu's role in everything, but I'm pretty sure we're gonna find that out shortly... As for Shiho, I just really hated her all along, I never felt that sorry for her and the only thing I regret is that she loved Tate so he had to die =(. Of course, with this anime... a happy ending really doesn't seem possibly at this point, but maybe they'll suprise me!

Peach Girl Episodes 8 & 9

Episode 8:

Sae is jealous of Touji and Momo's relationship even though she's dating Jigoro, the popular male model, even though he showers her with affection and presents. She tells him she'll only be happy with Touji and schemes to once again attempt to break him and Momo up again. Meanwhile, Touji and Momo are still trying to kiss, but always get interrupted.

Sae decides to confess to Touji and tells him that she loves him and tries to get him to kiss her again for one last time. He refuses, but she sets a trap that he falls in (literally) and she kisses him on the cheek in front of Momo (who was walking by at the time, thanks to Sae again). Momo slaps Touji, but kisses him immediately after, and tells Sae "He's mine!". Of course, Sae doesn't get the message once again... and gets Jigoro in on it this time.

Episode 9:

Momo's birthday is in a couple days and Touji plans to spend a nice evening and dinner with her at his house with no one else at home... Of course, in the middle of their makeout session, Sae calls Momo and says she's been dumped by Jigoro and wants her to talk some sense into him. At the same time, she tells Jigoro to take Momo out on a date so that she will leave Sae alone about dating him since Momo's suuuuch a huge fan of Jigoro (right...). Momo gets in Jigoro's car and Sae heads to Touji's house... dressed as Momo! She turns off the light as she walks in and starts making out with Touji (you'd think he'd notice the difference in body shape at least..).

Meanwhile, Momo is with Jigoro and he tries to kiss her, thinking that's what she wants. She pushes him away and gets out of the car. When she tries to call Sae, Sae's phone rings back at Touji's and he notices that the ringtone is different from before. He turns on the light to see Sae there and freaks out. Sae tells him that she's in love with him (again) and that Momo is on a date with Jigoro. They go out to look for Momo as Touji is no longer believing anything Sae says anymore (at least we hope so). Kairi calls and says he saw Momo in the car with Jigoro and they all go searching in the direction the car was going.

Jigoro chases Momo down trying to talk to her (probably about Sae), but Momo thinks he's going to attack her. She runs into a wearhouse and a bunch of boxes fall on her, knocking her unconcious. Jigoro takes her back to his place and puts her in his bed and goes into the shower. At the same time, Touji and Kairi have Sae take them to Jigoro's apartment. They walk in just as Jigoro gets out of the shower and Momo wakes up finding herself half naked and in his bed (of course she thinks that he had his way with her while she was out). Touji comes to the same conclusion when he sees Momo crying and beats Jigoro about the face for awhile (while Sae comments, "You can't hit a model in the face!" hahaha...). Jigoro of course has no idea what's going on as he's a pawn in Sae's little scheme for the first time. Sae won't admit to setting everything up, but Kairi sees right through it of course.

Momo figures Touji will want to break up with her because of what happened, but he says it's not her fault and nothing's changed. Kairi then swears that they will have their revenge on Sae soon... =)

Hmmm.. I typed a long summary for that. Oh well! =) These were some good episodes and had a lot going on which was nice. I feel really bad for Jigoro, poor guy. He really likes Sae, but she loves another guy and he's just trying to make her happy and see what happens to him? I feel bad for any guy she ends up with... I wonder how Momo is going to feel once she finds out about the whole Sae dressing up as Momo thing, especially since she got pretty hot and heavy with Touji for awhile (good thing Sae's cell went off, or else who knows what would have happened... hasn't anyone heard of silencing your phone, btw??).

Mai-HiME Episode 21

Hmm.. a lot happened here, so I'll just hit on some of the main points...

We find out that Shizuru is a HiME (there was a short scene in episode 20 when we could just see her in shadow form). Natsuki is captured by Nao but Shizuru rescues her and almost defeats Nao and her Child. Mai is taken to Reito's place and consoled by him in front of a warm fire. Little does she know that he is the Obsidian Prince and the one that is causing all of this chaos (at least I think so...). We also find out that Mashiro is the Crystal Princess who knows the secret behind the HiMEs. Mashiro goes to what she seems to know is her final battle to fight Reito, but Mikoto protects him (by her own will or not?). Shortly thereafter, we see a doll form of Mashiro hanging from wires above the throne of the Obsidian Prince at his coronation.

I'm kinda confused as to the specific stuff that is going on with the First District, the Searrs Foundation and everything else.. but I suppose that will all become more clear as well as the true purpose of the HiMEs. This was a good episode nonetheless, and focused more on Natsuki and other characters rather than on Mai (since she's kind of in a depression right now).

Mai-HiME Episode 20

Wow.. just.. wow. I really don't know what to say right now even after a day of recovery from it... Read here for a comprehensive summary. As far as my impressions.. let's just say that I'm still in shock from it all and this was one of the most engaging and emotional episodes of anything I've ever watched. This episode alone is reason to watch the series if you haven't already.

Mai-HiME Episode 19

Mai discovers that Takumi feels that she is a burden on him (since he's so indebted to her for all she does for him), as well as discovering that Akira is a HiME. She also finds out that Tate had been in the kendo club in jr. high but had to drop out because of a knee injury. He became somewhat of a delinquent after that for awhile, but Shiho had stayed by his side. Therefore, he pretty much feels that he must do the same for her now that she is injured because of him. Another development is that Akira is in love with Takumi and it looks like the feeling is mutual (awwww... psuedo shounen-ai).

Yukino attacks Mai out of pure helplessness to keep Haruka from dying (apparently someone's been threatening her). Mai tells Mikoto to stop protecting her recklessly and that she doesn't really know what it means to love someone (pretty much over her frustration with Takumi). Takumi collapses and goes to the hospital where he tells Mai that he will indeed go to America for the surgery. He tells Mai that she needs to live for herself and do what will make her happy. On her way home, she sits on the swings at the park and sees Tate wheeling Shiho by. Shiho sees Mai and makes Tate kiss her (that bitch!) to prove that he's not just paying her so much attention because he feels guilty and sorry for her (which is probably what it is). Tate kisses her as Mai looks on, then he notices that Mai is there and she runs away.

Mai now feels that she's lost everything important to her in life...

Wow, this was a pretty deep episode. It had funny/cute/sweet moments with Akira and Takumi and really emotional moments between Mai and Mikoto. I was pretty upset about the whole Tate and Shiho thing, but I hope I'm right that he really doesn't care for Shiho that way (which is what it seems). Mai seems to be sinking deeper and deeper into a depression, and things will probably only continue to get worse...

Ah! My Goddess Episode 9

Belldandy wins a beauty contest at school, besting the former winner, Sayoko. Sayoko is convinced that Belldandy has a secret identity and this is confirmed when she almost gets hit by Keiichi's bike and Belldandy saves her. Sayoko kidnaps Keiichi and "tortures" him but he will not admit who Belldandy really is. Finally Belldandy shows up to save him and passes thru the window right in front of Sayoko. Urd makes it so she and Mr. Playboy (who was in on it as well) become drunk and to confuse their memory, but Sayoko still remembers what happened...

A Little Slow...

Well, there hasn't been much to blog lately, as there haven't been many releases for the series I've been capping (except Tsukuyomi, but haven't been in the mood to watch that). Another reason for the slowness is this, I've been playing surrogate mom to a less than week old kitten this week which is extremely time consuming on top of work and everything else. I am really exhausted... lol but hopefully it will be worth it. =) I added one of my favorite songs, Pure Snow from Himiko-den, and also the song that Alysia Searss sings in Mai-Hime. Enjoy! And hopefully more capping will be done soon...

Oh and the Mai-HiME song is an mpc file, so you will need a plugin which you can find here or somewhere else if you want, just google it!

Mahoraba Episode 6

Tamami asks a favor of Shiratori and even though he's tired from being kept all night partying, she blackmails him with a picture of him and Kozue and he ends up doing it anyways. She takes him to her (and Kozue's) school, which is an all girls' school, to get something she left there. Along the way they meet a few interesting characters including the president of the Occult Club that Tamami is an inactive member of. They also meet a couple archery girls and several others while Tamami calls Shiratori a pervert in front of all of them. The item that Tamami forgot was a very heavy bonsai tree which she makes Shiratori carry home.

When they finally make it home Shiratori and Tamami talk to each other through the wall in the bath. Tamami asks him how he feels about living there, and Shiratori decides it really isn't all bad. As he is ready to finally get some sleep, everyone decides to party in his room again all night... (and Tamami reveals that she can carry the bonsai, and juggle it, very easily all by herself!)

Cute episode that revealed a little more of Tamami's personality and her background. You can tell that she really loves Kozue and she's using her time to test Shiratori to make sure he is a good match for her. Unfortunately, she kind of doesn't use the best of methods to do this, but at least they're effective and funny!

Peach Girl Episodes 6 & 7

Episode 6:

Kairi arranges for Touji to overhear Sae's true intentions, and she is revealed for the horrible, lying person that she is. Touji and Momo get back together, with the help of Kairi of course.

Episode 7:

Touji shaves his head in apology to Momo for not believing her and they spend a nice summer break together (though they never kiss or anything, much to the shock of Momo's classmates). Momo is begged by the swimteam to join, but she is reluctant because she doesn't want to be any more tan than she already is. Momo also finds out that Kairi orchestrated the whole "Sae Revelation" for everyone. She goes to thank Kairi, who is happy that Momo is happy now, but tells her that if she ever wants to leave Touji, he'll be there for her (awwww..). Touji tries to kiss Momo again, but she pushes him away reflexively. Things are a little awkward for awhile, but Momo tests Touji's love by giving him a secret sign for saying he loves her in public. He refuses to do it at first but does in front of the entire class later. =)

Sae is now a frail shell (literally 2-D) of her former self and everyone walks all over her. When Momo decides to be a little nice to her, Sae immediately attaches herself to her again and sucks up to her. When they are approached on the street by some magazine editors, they think Sae is adorable and want her to model for them. While on the modeling gig, Sae meets a famous male model, Jigoro, who immediately falls for her cute frailness (since she's still tiny and 2-D). When he comes to school to see her, he kisses the tiny Sae and she magically transforms back to her normal self.

Episode 6 was good because it wraps up the whole Touji not believing Momo stuff and Sae being revealed. I really enjoyed episode 7 though because it showed the aftermath of what had happened and what everyone's true feelings were. It would be funny if Sae and Jigoro actually become a couple, though I have a feeling that Sae's ego would fill the entire school at that point.

Ah! My Goddess Episode 8

Urd comes to earth trying to fix the bug that's causing the Ultimate Force not to work. Of course, Urd has her own motives and ways of doing things and ends up causing more problems than solving them. She tells Keiichi that he has to kiss Belldandy so that she doesn't have to go back to heaven and he believes her... She also tries to use mind control on his in order to get him to kiss Belldandy and to make him do other things as well. In the end, Belldandy and Urd have a small scuffle, but Urd is shocked and sent a message by god, who forbids her from returning to heaven for awhile. Looks like she'll be stuck with the happy couple for the time being...

Urd is pretty funny and adds another fun dynamic to the show. Unlike the pure, sweet and loving Belldandy, she is brash, immodest and coniving. One may wonder how she is really a goddess at all... We also got a quick glimpse of Skuld, so she may be showing up before too long! Btw, anyone else wondering why Keiichi is so against kissing Belldandy? Little weird I think...

Tactics Episode 12

Kantarou and the gang go to rid a mansion full of monsters that are haunting the place. The owner, Sakurazawa, is the female president of a textile importing company, and she seems to have taken a liking to Haruka. While looking for the source of the problem, Youko stumbles upon a garden of purple roses inside a storage shed. She becomes intwined in the vines and is knocked unconscious.

Meanwhile, Sakurazawa traps Haruka in vines as well and reveals herself as Ibaragi, a demon, and not the real Sakurazawa. Kantarou goes looking in the storage shed when he sees a strange uniformed man leaving it finds Youko's apron and the real Sakurazawa asleep, trapped in the roses, when suddenly a big monster appears.

Ibaragi has her body guards (?) beat Haruka nearly senseless and Kantarou appears with the monster in tow, saying he's made friends with it. The uniformed man attacks the monster and it disappears, and Ibaragi reveals how she blackmailed Sakurazawa into buying the roses. She and the uniformed man disappear (for now), and Haruka is left with a bad hangover from the fumes released from the roses...

Ah! My Goddess Episode 7

Megumi finds out that Belldandy didn't get Keiichi anything for Valentine's Day and Keiichi is really depressed about it. Megumi tells Belldandy to make some chocolate and give it to him in a romantic place.

Unfortunately, Belldandy doesn't know any places that are romantic, so she asks Sayoko at school to show her somewhere romantic. Sayoko, being the bitch that she is, has Belldandy ask the biggest playboy in school, who takes her to a hotel... Belldandy resists his advances and attacks him with lightening.

Belldandy tries again and takes Keiichi to several unromantic places like a car show, a repair shop and a junk yard... but Keiichi finally takes her on a sunset cruise ship. Belldandy finally gives him his Valentine's chocolate and Keiichi gives her his White Day present in return. As they are about to kiss, Belldandy sneezes and the mood is ruined. Belldandy realizes that the Coercive Force is no longer working, and something is keeping them from getting too close.

This was a cute episode, if not a little pointless. I really didn't realize Sayoko was as mean as she is, mean enough to almost get Belldandy raped most likely... Oh well, at least it turned out okay. Looks like Urd's coming next ep (yay!) and maybe Skuld makes an appearance as well. Ah! My Goddess is licensed now, but I'm pretty sure the subs will keep coming... =)

Uta∽Kata Episode 12 (Final)

Ichika goes to Saya's house to confront her, and finds the mirror that Manatsu came out of there. Saya appears, pins Ichika to the mirror, and tells her she has a choice... to destroy everyone in the world, or to destroy herself. She is using humans as a test case to see how they view the world and other humans through the eyes of the djinn. She created Kai and Ichika to guide these humans.

She also reveals herself as the final Djinn, the mirror djinn, and Ichika and Manatsu (who was brought there by Kai) spontaneously transform again. When Sei was given the choice previously, he could not choose, and therefore Kai put himself on the line. Kai became human and Sei gave him some of his life so he could live.

Ichika could also not make this choice, but Saya said there must be a penalty for that and aimed her scythe straight at Ichika's chest. Sei breaks out of the stone and puts his hand in front of her, impaling it on the scythe. Ichika frees herself from the mirror, kisses Sei's hand and impales herself on it. Manatsu impales herself on the other end, giving Ichika back the life that she was losing. Manatsu kisses Ichika, and Kai kisses Sei, giving them their life and vanishing in bubbles, becoming pieces of the mirror.

Saya calls her master (whoever that is) and reports what happens, saying that humans are very foolish, and moves on to her next target. Ichika goes back to her normal life and she is staying in Japan while her father goes to Italy on his assignment.

Overall, I'm really happy with the series, and the ending really did it justice. I had a feeling Ichika would have to make a choice like that (sacrificing herself or someone else) and it was interesting that even though she grew to dislike herself so much, she realized that she was loved by others and could not sacrifice herself. It is interesting that Sei would have given Ichika that charm... especially if he knew what it did, which makes me wonder that if he hadn't given it to her, would Manatsu have come to her? There's still a lot of questions to be answered in this series that they left open, but that's alright with me. I really enjoyed this series, and even though it may be a little slow to some, it really kept my interest throughout.

Peach Girl Episode 5

Even though Sae's broken Momo and Touji up, she still keeps screwing with Momo for no apparent reason. She tells everyone Momo hurt Touji in the hospital, and volunteers her for the school swimming competition, even though Momo obviously doesn't want to do it. Momo also runs into an old friend (the one that told her that Touji didn't like dark-skinned girls) who tells her she made it up because she liked Touji too...

At the swimming competition, in which Momo is in 10 races, Sae gets some girls to sabotage Momo's swimsuit so that the shoulder strap with break, which it does. Momo attempts the next couple races but it unable to repair her swimsuit and she does really badly. One of the girls that had sabatoged Momo's swimsuit had almost drowned in the process of doing it and Momo had saved her. She brings Momo her swimsuit in thanks and runs off. Kairi walks in on Momo as she's changing and asks her to hug him...

Poor Momo, everyone hates her and then Kairi, the only person that believes that Sae is a bad person, ignores her during the competition... I kinda forgot why Kairi wanted to hug her while she's only in a towel, but maybe that's obvious? I should look it up in my manga...

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Episode 13 (Final)

Everyone escapes from the garden (except Fate's "mom" of course) and arrive safely back on the ship. Nanoha returns home, and Yuuno goes with her in ferret form since his planet is still not safe to return to yet. Everyone is happy to see her back and her life returns to normal...

Luckily, Fate will most likely not be charged with the crimes her mother forced her to commit (thanks to Chrono) and she wants to see Nanoha before she leaves to go before the court. She tells Nanoha she wants to be friends with her and a very touching scene follows and the girls exchange ribbons.

This was a very good final episode as it wrapped up everything very nicely. I was pretty suprised just how interested I became in this series as it went along since I wasn't super impressed by it in the beginning. It definetly had some deep character development and some dark elements to it as well, which isn't necessarily the usual mahou shoujo faire.

Mai-HiME Episode 18

The strange ghost HiME attacks Mai, but she doesn't want to fight it. Mikoto tries to protect her and attack the other HiME's Child, but Mai stops her. There is some growing tension among all the HiME's and many are looking for answers to what's going on. The girls find the Sister has been attacked and think it's Nao that attacked her. Natsuki goes after her and attacks her as well, but before they are able to fight, Mai stops them. However, Nao points out that Mai has already killed Alyssia's Child and so she had not place to talk. Midori goes after some answers from the director, only to find out that Fumi is a HiME as well.

Things are starting to get pretty intense... and most likly will explode pretty soon.. I like how Natsuki said she has no fear as she does not have anyone special to her. I have a feeling that will come back to bite her in the ass later. I guess we'll have to see.. =)

Mai-HiME Episode 17

Pretty much the aftermath of Nagi's big announcement that the HiME's will have to battle each other and kill each other's Childs. Apparently the HiME that remains will be granted a huge amount of power that will save the world and the HiME star approaches.

Of course, Akira didn't kill Takumi, which is good because it's his turn for heart surgery in the US. Mai happens to run into Tate at the hospital and he tells her that he has feelings for Shiho (which hopefully means he's just trying not to have Mai worry about him), tho he lies to Shiho when he gets back, saying he didn't meet with anyone. As Mai heads back to school, she is stopped by a ghostlike girl with a very scary looking Child.

Good ep that started revealing a lot of things that were going on behind the scenes. Hopefully Tate way lying about liking Shiho, cause I would definetly prefer he and Mai hook up eventually.

Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~ Episode 5

A cute episode about Asami and Sayoko mostly. Sayoko is no good doing the odd jobs that she and Asami do for a living, so Shiratori helps them out before their deadline for making imitation flowers. Shiratori also helps Asami do the grocery shopping as well, and seems to think that Asami is more like the mother and Sayoko is more like the child. He also realizes that they are extremely poor and even eat edible grass and dilute their orange juice (as well as using cardboard boxes as furniture, including to sleep on). They stay up all night to finish the flowers, only to realize that Sayoko has many unfinished flowers hidden in her sleeves...

It was nice that the focus was on some of the other characters for once, and Asami-chan is so cute! She reminds me of Chiyo sometimes... Anyways, no personality changes from Kozue as she wasn't in the episode much..

A beautiful woman and her two twin daughters are in charge of a shrine, and the younger of the twins, Miyabi, is a gifted fortune teller for the town. The woman's second husband recently died in a freak accident as well as many other men in the town that were lusting after her/her money. Kantarou is investigating the deaths as well as lending some assistance to the weak Miyabi in her upcoming ceremony. Her elder sister, Mai, seems jealous of Miyabi's talents, but actually is trying to save her by calling on an evil spirit (which she thinks is the god of the underworld) and killing the men in the town to take Miyabi's place. Unfortunately, Miyabi dies soon after doing the ceremony despite Mai's pleas to Kantarou to do something about it, even offering herself in Miyabi's place. She vows to have a grudge against Kantarou, though there really was nothing he could do for Miyabi, and she begins to train to become a good fortune teller as well.

This was a good 2-episode story that was pretty involving and emotional. I'm really liking this series now that I started watching it again =). Miyabi's crush on Haruka and the significance of the butterfly was really intriguing. I also liked the seduction scene(s) at the end of ep 10.. that was very interesting...

Kantarou and the gang are "forced" to investigate an occurance with an old classmate of Kan-chan's, Hasumi. They basically dislike each other because Hasumi doesn't believe in Youkai, which Kantarou obviously does... Anyways, the save an island from a insanely large rat population that is eating visitors to the island as well as a large rat monster on the island.

Basically Ep 7 is about Kan-chan testing Haruka's loyalty and stuff. Not much attention was given to the case this time except it had something to do with a giant spider monster and kidnapped children. Oh, and the fact that the father of one girl had offered him 10x the normal amount to rescue her, but he said he wasn't doing it for the money. Of course, the father took it to heart and only gave him the going rate. =)

Youko gets a taiyaki for doing some work for a neighbor and Kan-chan and Haruka eat it while she's not around. She gets pissed and runs away, first to Sugino and Muu (tho she leaves them quickly...) and then to Suzu's house. She gets bored there and runs off to get a job at a tea house, but is offered double the money she's making there to go with a sleazy looking guy. He takes her to a sideshow of demons/monsters and makes her one of the attractions. Kantarou, Haruka and Suzu follow her and rescue her, revealing that the man is really a tanuki demon himself.

These eps were pretty good, especially ep 8 which was great. Although neither of these episodes focused on Kan-chan's demon exorcising and stuff, they actually worked better when the emphasis is put on the characters. I hope this kind of stuff continues...

Well, this is really late in coming, but I'm pretty much caught up with all my other series right now, so I decided to continue with this one. The rest of the current eps (7-16 I believe) will probably be in groups and will have just a couple caps for each ep like this most likely. Anyways.. on with a quick summary.

There is a ghost train that is appearing every night at 9:07 and Kantarou and Haruka investigate. It turns out that it is the spirit of a conductor who was killed in a train accident 6 months ago, leaving his young daughter all by herself. He continues to visit stations to find her, until Suzu makes this possible, and he takes his daughter, Nene with him to the afterlife.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha 11-12

Ep 11 Short Summary: Nanoha and Fate have their big showdown and Nanoha wins. There is an attept to arrest Precia Testarossa, but she overpowers them all. Fate comes to find out that she is an artificial clone created by Precia to have in place of her daughter, Alicia, who died. She reveals that she never loved Fate and was just using her to collect the jewel seeds so that she would have a chance to bring her daughter back to life.

Ep 12 Short Summary: Nanoha, Chrono and Yuuno invade Precia's ship in order to capture her. They are able to defeat all the guards but one, but Fate arrives to help them. When they finally reach Precia, Fate offers to protect her, but she refuses her help. The whole Garden crumbles, causing Precia to fall into oblivion (?) with her Alicia.

Well it was cool that Fate and Nanoha finally had their team-up finally, albiet a short one. It almost seems as if Fate has become the main character of the show, or at least the one that the most emotion is attached to. With one more episode left, there doesn't seem to be much to wrap up with the main plot, so maybe there will be more personal stuff going on in the last one. If things keep being as fun as the last half of this series, it should go pretty well.

Just as Keiichi and Belldandy are running out of food, Keiichi's sister, Megumi, arrives from Hokkaido with some sustenance. She is looking for an apartment in the area since she will be attending a local school in the spring. However, the apartment she describes is waaay too nice for the price she wants, but Belldandy and Keiichi agree to help her look for one. After three days of searching with no luck, they find an apartment that fits her description perfectly and for a very low price. However, there is a catch as a land spirit haunts the apartment to keep it vacant. Luckily, with the help of Belldandy, the spirit is given back his powers and will no longer terrorize the inhabitants of the apartment.

Being the second to last episode, this one's brought a few things to light. We find out that Ichika is acutally moving to Milan, Italy with her family at the end of the summer (hense the stuff about not having much time left... and here I thought she was dying or something). We also find out that Kai came from the same "world" (or whatever) that Manatsu is from and put Sei through the same test that Ichika is going through. It also looks as if she'll have to make the same decision that Sei had to make, but didn't (tho we still don't know what that decision is).

Ichika and Mantsu and the gang to to a hotel pool to chill out with only a week left until the move. Michiru seems to know something of what is going on with Ichika and she spontaneously transforms again calling on the ocean djinn and creating a huge tsunami. Manatsu throws herself into the wave despite Saya telling her it's against the rules. Afterwards, Saya makes Manatsu become unconcious and Ichika and Michiru carry her home, but Ichika also collapses on the way...

This was a good episode with a lot revealed now that it's getting near the end. The only thing I thought was a little out of place was Ichika's costume, which seemed too cute and whimsical I guess for the situation. However I can't really complain cause it was designed by Akamatsu Ken (Love Hina, Negima), who is cool. Anyways, next episode should be exciting.. hope it comes out soon!

Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~ Episode 4

Everyone's starting school again, and Shiratori goes to his new art school. Of course, he never had time to do his assignment before school started, and his new teacher scares him straight =). On his way home with his new art school friends, he meets up with Kozue and Tamami (who scares his new friends pretty well). The three go shopping and everyone asks if Shiratori is Kozue's "ii hito" (literally: good person, but can also mean "significant other") and she reply's that he is a good person. So thinking that they are a couple, they give them a bunch of freebies, which is nice. On the way home, they run into a girl looking for her stamp card and crying. They search endlessly with her until sunset, and she finally realizes it was in her purse all along...

This was a great episode, and guess what, no personality changes!! I'm starting to think this show would be just fine without it, but I have a feeling it's going to be the main part of the plot later.

People at school start finding out that Keiichi and Belldandy aren't officially dating, so Keiichi decides to finally confess to her. Of course this decision is followed by sleepless nights and a lot of undue stress. Anyways, he tries to set up a romantic atmosphere, but as he is about to confess, Belldandy senses his increased heartrate and temperature and thinks he is sick. She rushes (actually, floats) him to bed and attempts to heal and sedate him. With his last remaining will power, he is able to finally ask her out and then passes out. Of course, she replies that she feels the same way about him. Awwwww... =)

This was a cute episode, and it's just so funny how awkward Keiichi is. You'd think he would have realized that Belldandy is crazy about him already, but oh well. Looks like Megumi may show up in the next ep... that should be fun.
